What's up everybody welcome back to the channel. Today's video is going to be a nice topic. Chase Sapphire Reserve we're going to really get into this video because I know I have a lot of chase fans Amex fans, so this video is gon na be solely about the rumored updates from Doctor of credit. So all you know kudos to him.

Credit goes to him as far as this article, but I wanted to talk about it and get your opinion with it. So make sure you like share and subscribe. Let's go right into this video. So again, this is all credits to Doctor of credit.

I wanted to show you guys this article here so as far as this article is concerned, there are supposed to be a couple of updates that Chase Sapphire reserved, possibly coming within maybe 2020. One thing is, the annual fee is supposed to be $ 550. Now again, all this is rumored, so it's not guarantee, but let's just say it is guys. Let's say it is, and let's talk about it: okay, so $ 550 annual fee.

For that you see yourself our reserve and, as you know, that it's very that's exactly what the American Express Platinum Card has right now and there's also going to be a dining credit. Supposedly, that could possibly be anywhere between 10 to 20 dollars a month which can maybe get you maybe about 120. They may be about $ 200 a month and dining / delivery credits. So I think, if that were the case, that'd be really awesome again, I don't have to tell yourself I reserved solely because the first taste card I had was a Sapphire Preferred and they had this new rule.

You have to wait about four years before you can have a sapphire signup bonus, so I don't want to get the Sapphire Reserve Carter not pass on. I'm not get to sign up bonus. Those Chase, Sapphire reserves, no JD Sapphire points are extremely useful. I want to make sure I get my hands on them, so I'm gon na wait about another year and also make sure I'm under five 24 and then I'll go ahead and apply for the card.

It's a really nice card to have. I do think solely with this, though, if you're looking at maybe 120 to 220 dollars in annual dining and delivery credits - one it is a direct jab, Amex, 100 %. Also too is going to give you more value to the car. The card always came with a lot of you know great things as far as 300, our dining car, I'm sorry travel credit which you can use for whatever you want.

However, you want whenever you want, so when you're talking about this dining credit. In my opinion, I think it's gon na be the same exact way. We're not going to restrict you. So only like you know American Express has, you know, maybe GrubHub seamless, cheesecake factory, roof steakhouse, I'm pretty sure Chase is gon na, be like no we're gon na give you that flexibility that we have with the 300.

Our travel credit. You can use it for anything that is considered dining or deliveries, so maybe I'm guessing uber eats door posts mates, maybe even a restaurant. If you wanted to use it on a restaurant, I'm guessing or you know, maybe your your local pizza pizzeria, whatever is coded as dining, and I think that I really get a lot of people. You know to come from Amex and go to Chase or maybe even have both cards, because Chase is Shawn time more flexible than American Express is now.
I think that's a really awesome thing to have the $ 550 annual fee. I mean it makes sense if you're gon na pay, 450 you're, probably gon na pay 550 and if you're, already paying 550 with the American Express Platinum Card, you're, probably gon na pay 550 for chase. So I mean it is in chases best is, you know, chase best interest to do so? Obviously, I wouldn't want to be an increase in your annual fee, but if they're gon na give you something more they're, probably going to put the annual fee up and it's also a possibility, in my opinion, that it won't. I know the American Express Platinum Card.

They gave us the Saks credit, they increase the sign up, their increase, the annual fee already and then a few months after they gave us a Saks Fifth Avenue credit like we can use $ 50, a every six months so 100 or $ 50 $ 50. Every six months that you can use as sex with Avenue so maybe Chase would give you some more and maybe not even add, extra $ 100. But I think, I'm more so on the side of they're going to charge an extra hundred dollars, which is not bad. When it comes to chase it already to chase that farmers require already already comes a great perk, so some of the perks are going to be the 3x on travel and dining and that's from airfare and hotels, so like taxis, bus transit, so that is really awesome.

They have been also from you know, fine, dining and cafes. So you know the cheap Wendy's meal or the expensive. Your most expensive steak house. You could possibly think about type of mill, 300 travel credit which you can use for.

However, you want to you can use annum bulk split up between months. However, you want to, and I think what really makes Chase sign-out stand out besides, you know Priority Pass, which they give that to Global Entry, which they give that to you is the travel protection. The travel protection is a lot better, in my opinion that America expresses though I'm still team Amex. I would definitely get out to chase that their trip delay is a lot better.

Prime example. American Express is rolling out their trip cancellation, but it has to be on a round-trip ticket for airfare as opposed to chase it can be. However, you want it to be as long as it was booking all on the card. You're good.

So again, that's another way that Chase is really showing it they're flexible. So what do you guys think about this? I think that this being something that could possibly go into effect, it's gon na be another battle between the two honestly Biggers biggest cards. When you look at a you know, American Express Platinum and chase fi Reserve, you know you're kind of looking at, I guess iPhone versus Android. If you wonder, I'm sorry, not Android, but you know iPhone versus the galaxy.
The galaxy series right you're, looking at elected two top competitors and you have people who might want to go for both. You might have people who go for iPhone or you know the galaxy. However, you want to do it, but I want your opinion. What do you guys think that is the question of the day? What do you guys think is gon na happen with the chase stuff, our reserve card? What would you like to see and are you gon na, be getting this card, or are you gon na kind of stay away from it or if you have this card, are you're gon na keep the card or you're gon na, maybe downgrade it to something else? Let me know what you guys think in the comment section below and guys make sure you follow on my Instagram.

I actually just got a new Instagram where it's going to be strictly just business, so I actually just made myself an Instagram page business page. I have a CSP that I opened in 2013 and would like to sign up for the reserve. I am a little nervous about downgrading the CSP to the freedom unlimited and then applying for the reserve because there is no guarantee I will get approved. I have excellent credit and have only opened one 1 business card in the last 24 months. I would like to hear your strategy for when you do get ready to apply for the reserve. Also, i'm from the Philly area and love seeing you tubers from my area!

Better multipliers would be more useful than a dining credit… They're just trying to force you to spend money

If they gave an Uber credit like the Amex I would be all over that. I understand Chase wanting to match the AF with Amex, and a credit that gives you that and more right back is an easy way for them to do it. I’m sure a lot of card holders don’t max out the credits monthly/annually so Chase and Amex still come out on top overall

in my opinion CSR is not worth the $550 AF with the dining credit. I probably going to cancel the card if the AF is $550

‘Tis the season of annual fee increase! Man, never saw so many increases in a short period of time. No one wants an increase but if the dining credit is as free as the travel credit then I would be okay even if it’s given in monthly increments. So long as they don’t make it restrictive to programs such as Door Dash, UberEats, etc. I need it to work if I order delivery or if I swipe at a Dominos pizza or McCormick & Schmick.

And side note, nice new intro and background!!!

To me, it doesn't make sense to increase the annual fee if all your going to do is add a dining credit for the same amount. I would rather have a lower fee and spend the difference the way I see fit. I have the same issue with the travel credit. they are not perks they are just my money I already paid them.

I would like the point earning to be high. 4x would be nice but if they cant 3.5x will do 🤷‍♂️

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kelly Brown says:

Unless they increase the multipliers or add new ones, I'm probably going to product change if AF is increased.

Great video. Currently a CSR owner and will be keeping my card even if there’s a bump in af. With the travel credits you get back 300 dollars making the card 150. I don’t see this new fee being any different.

Great new intro and new background!

I wouldn`t mind paying that considering Visa is accepted everywhere. around the world and Amex is NOT.
