$90k back then is worth almost a million in today's money. Also, since he tried to be a musician you could argue that's a priceless way to spend the money. Had he kept the money invested, he would never have know if he could make it as a musician.
Using IV to buy and sell options is realistically one of the few ways you can make money, don’t be like these guys
Peter Buffett may live a modest lifestyle but that's by choice. If you look it up, he's earned a total of $44 billion through both his inheritance (that he liquidated) and his music career, the vast majority of which he gave away to charity just like his father, leaving behind the "modest" $5 million net worth you will come across when you google him.
Dude was successful in his career choice. He didn't let the Buffett reputation shackle him to finance. His music was featured in Dancing with Wolves (a classic movie) and more recently he got to collab with Akon.
No wonder Buffett plans to give all his money to foundations when he dies.
Y’all gone read about me mark these words 🎉🎉🎉it’s gone be a celebration 🍾
Imagine being Warren Buffet son and be homeless
Any apes still active in 2022? I’ve doubled my GME position and looking to double it again in the next year to over 900 shares
Can you do more of these?
The Buffet thing really coins the phrase “the 3rd generation blows all the wealth”
I'm all for hearing about boomers getting bad
How in the g** d*** f*** do you pay 40% capital gains tax on money you f**** made
How did he lose all his money on calls?
I remember Palantir lol
If it’s good enough to screen shot it’s good enough to sell
Great video.
As an intending trader understanding it’s no guess game rather the need for professional guidance, I would call an easy way to profitable returns.
Peter Buffett's music career wasn't a failure. He has been able to make a living using his creativity and musical talent. He has been nominated for Grammys and has sold records. That is priceless and worth more than money. You need to get your priorities correct. Too many people value money too much and not artistic ability and talents. Pursue what you love to do and don't pursue money!
If I have 287k when I wake up tomorrow I will take out 285K and let the rest ride… god blessing the wrong people.
Why would you still be investing at 200 million you good😭
Damn… You would think Warren Buffets son would know a thing or two about making money in the market. That would be embarrassing.
You sound just like a vanlifer I subscribe to…
Beans³
A wsb comment is not a wsb comment without the word "retard" in it
The irony of a millennial dissing a boomer for yolo. Thanks for ruining the markets for the next decade, millennials. 👎🏼

Buffet doesn't give his own kids any money? Not even a little bit? may breed resentment..
I couldn't be that harsh no matter what. If I were a multi billionaire, I would give my kids at least $100-200K a year + a dream house + vacation money maybe.
Remember watching the documentary 'Born Rich', and I think Buffet's niece or granddaughter was working in somebody's house.
It's not fair to call someone stupid solely for buying out of the money calls expiring the same day. The expiration date and strike price are factored into the valuation which makes them very cheap. it's obviously a very highly leveraged bet. What needs to be considered is whether or not there was sufficient reasoning behind the bet and if they were just unlucky the bet didn't pan out. Regardless, it's not the type of leveraged bet I would be interested in.
Funny bec most on these forums say to HODL and then mock and attack when someone does so lol. I agree, pigs get slaughtered but maybe people should be teaching how to secure profits instead of encouraging people to become their bag holders….bec we all know that those who preach HODL are the ones selling THEIR BAGS to the newcomers.
I might be wrong, but why do people use ALL the money they made with that trade for another trade. Why not take a third or half of what you got?
