Warrior Trading // Ross Cameron // Day Trade Warrior
What's up everyone? All right? Well here we are. Big Green Day up! Eight thousand, Six hundred bucks every time I Wear the pineapples I Have a green day. An awesome green day. Well didn't let me down here.
This was a solid day I'm really happy about it and I made another 130 bucks in my TD Ameritrade account small count challenge. So I'm making some good progress there slow and steady. Now if you guys haven't already hit that subscribe button right there, you better hit it. So you stay up to date with my latest sweatshirts.
Got the pineapples here? We've got the dogs right here. These were who let the dogs that I don't know. Impossible right here? those are that's a good one. And then get ready for summer Summertime.
summertime. Oh the t-shirts are gonna be crazy this year so make sure you hit that subscribe Bye stay tuned for what's coming next. it's gonna be. It's gonna be an exciting year I'm I Feel good about 2020 January was a little rough some ups and downs, but finishing here with a green day yesterday really solid.
Green Day Today again really saw this $12,000 in two days. Let's see what we can do tomorrow. wildcard Friday All right everyone. So time for midday market recap.
We'll go over the trades from this morning. I'm gonna finish the day up eight thousand, six hundred forty dollars and ninety two cents which is pretty solid I was up a little over ten grand. so I gave back. You know about fifteen hundred dollars, but that's okay.
You know it. It's fine with me. This is one of those days where I could have walked away up only 500. but I kept trading.
The next thing I knew I was up seven hundred eight hundred a thousand two thousand four thousand five thousand I could have walked away then I kept trading. then I was up seven, eight nine ten and I stopped trading on the first pull back. So now I'm gonna throw in the towel. it's about ten thirty.
This is a great time to throw in the towel and say it's a solid day and I wouldn't be up 8600 if I hadn't. you know. kept trading until I had that first decent-sized loss. so no regrets here.
Happy with the day. Eighty six hundred dollars of profit plus another hundred and thirty in the small account with TD Ameritrade DTS s was the big winner. BV NT was pretty good too and these other three were a little bit smaller. So let's start by going over the gap scan from this morning.
so let's put this up for historical date and time. So I'll do this for 9:20 a.m. Alright, so at 9:20 our leading gapper was SS NT and this was a tricky one for me because right out of the gates this stock sorry s int right out of the case. The stock squeezed up and I was well.
I wasn't really expecting it to squeeze up as much as it did because the pre-market chart to me looked kind of weak. It had this highway up here around 7 378 and then it pulled back. It was below the view a But the bell rang and it surged up to 298. I had 296 on this one minute pullback I Got in right here at 287 for the first one minute candle. To make a new high, I bought 10,000 shares. It squeezes up here to 312 and through this breakout - 3:20 I made $1,600 $1,600 $1,700 Give back more than half my profit after hitting the daily goal I stopped. You know if I'm up 500 bucks and then I lose 400? I'm not gonna stop trading usually because that's even though I gave back half my profit. It's not a lot of money, it's not my daily goal.
So so I was fine with continuing trading but I was telling myself, listen, be careful because if you go in the red, if on your next trade you lose a hundred bucks and you're down 300 then you're gonna start to feel frustrated and emotionally charged. You know, going from up 1600 down 300. Now it's starting to get a little bit more upsetting. So I took it a little bit easy when I was like let's just hold off for a second, let's just watch the market.
So SS NT ends up consolidating kind of sideways and pulling back. Meanwhile, Vbn team which was on the Gap scanner a little further down the Gap scanner down here up 6% with light volume. The bell rings and this stock which gained 50% yesterday from 12 up to 18, squeezes from 18 all the way up to twenty three dollars and 86 cents and it did it without me. I was watching it.
it was on the watch list for a Gap and Go trade, but it didn't take the trade I didn't take it number one cuz I was focusing on S Int and the reason I was focusing on S Int was because it fit within my price range. it had more volume and I felt that it was less risky. Vvn t for me just seemed very risky even as I sort of prepared my order for it I kind of felt my heart beating a little faster cuz I was like this is a type of stock that it either does this or it does the opposite. There's not a lot in between.
it's either big win or a big miss and I was just like man I don't know if I can afford a big miss right now. so I didn't trade it there I did end up trading it right here on the Breakthrough View app from 20 dollars and 70 cents up to 22. so a dollar and 30 per share and in that trade I made 1,600 bucks. Alright, but that wasn't my second trade of the day.
My second trade of day was on DTS S DTS s out of nowhere pops up and hits our high a day momentum scanner and you can see that right back here. So where did I hit the scanner I think it hit it now. must have been right here at 260. All right.
So this stock was mentioned in the chat room as being a mover. It was a stock that was already up. Let's see right about here it was what was the price. It was at about 2:30 and then right here pops up to 248.
So even before he hit the scanner 260 some of you guys who have scanner filters that are a little bit different. We're already seeing that this stock was starting to move at this point. When I hit the scanner at 260 was up 39 percent down. here it was up probably 25% or something like that. So here we go. First, micro pullback. That's the first opportunity to get in. Here's the second.
Here's the third and I'm holding it in to this halt. going up at $3.95 it resumes from the hall, it dips down for a second I added at four, thirty four dollars and thirty cents. it rips up to a high of 493 and I took some profit for 70 and 490 and held the balance of my position which was only about 500 Shares into this halt going up on resumption, it drops down I buy it at 4. Let's see actually where was My entry it was I think was 411 it was 411 as for 12 so I added it for 12 it dropped coming down but then it did a false halt so it looked like it was going to halt going down and then it turned around and squeezed up.
So I added at 4:12 it squeezes up here to 480 so that was a nice bounce off to low. added some profit right there and then I sold as it started to consolidate sideways sideways, sideways sideways. My last trade on it was right here: I got in at 83 for 83 for the break over $4 or 383 for the break over $4 I thought that it was gonna rip right through that that $4 level but it did not and so I ended up stopping out of that with unfortunately like a sixteen or seventeen hundred dollar loss. Yeah so that that trade was right right here.
those are my orders. so 81, 83, 84, 85, 86, 85, 89 and then I tried to hit the bid, hit the bid no fill and then hit the bid down here with some slippage. Alright, what was this? Maybe I was trying to sell in the ass. In any case, we got this drop here all the way down to a low 44.
I stopped at 47, ends up bouncing back up to 78 which sometimes happens. It's usually why I don't like to sell into a flush, but in this case I did. And so that was my last trade of the day. Now, in between the last trade on DTS S and my first trade on DTS S was when I took the trades on VV NT On the break through V web ended up failing but still was a winner.
Arkady A got halted. We got a halt on RK da. Here there was news out at 10 a.m. it halts.
at 543, it resumes high. it dips down for a second. I added at 580 it pops up to a high of 608 I took my profit was done for the day on that stock. So a quick four hundred eighty seven dollars for 2,000 shares.
and then n NB C was the last stock I traded before that final trade on DTS S. and that was right here for the break over 1150. I was getting in at 11:48 for the break of 1150 and it popped up 11:58 and then a high of 1170. so only $80 a profit there.
But all things considered, this was a pretty good day. You know it. It would have been obviously better to close above 10,000 because always a day above 10,000 is. you know, a wonderful day.
but you know I I kept trading and gave back a little profit so that's fine. I'll be back at it tomorrow. Tomorrow is the last day of January and hopefully I can get one more. Really nice trade to kind of cap off this month which has been a roller coaster you know. I started with some losses, dug myself out, dip back down, dug myself out. you know it's just been up and down and it's partly because I think it's been a sort of so choppy or so whippy and up and down with me because some days have been really really high and then the next day has been terrible. So it's been like really hot and then terrible and then really hot and terrible and so it's been harder for me to predict. Is today gonna be the day where a stock like DTS s keeps going you know? or is this the day where it hits 393 on the first halt and fails right? because this did to halts in a row going up whereas we've certainly seen on the days where stocks don't work well.
more like what we saw in our kDa where it it halts going up and then just totally fails. So it's been a little choppy out there. but I'm glad that I've got some profit. My only trade on DTS s in the TV account was this break of the you app so that ended up I took my profit there I held it in the main account and that was a mistake.
So anyways you know I was looking for a bigger move in the big account and took a small base hit in the small account. So $130 here? that'll put the TV account up to three thousand, six hundred, twenty nine dollars, and fifty eight cents. But I've got no buying power for tomorrow. So unfortunately I used all my buying power on only one hundred and thirty dollars a profit, you know.
And of course, if I was trading in my TD Ameritrade account as the only account, I would have bought this and probably done really well through this first breakout. But it's hard to pass up five thousand dollars of profit for a small account challenge. I mean I'm happy to do it, but I'm also, you know I've got to use some common sense. So I traded it at the time that it just didn't happen to be quite as strong.
But that's okay. So anyway, slip to trade another day, you know, and even if you finish today red, go over the trades, go over the stocks, and you know, take some notes and try to come back tomorrow. You know, a little bit tighter and risk management, and maybe a little bit more picky on quality. standard for the setup, and remember that we've got a new month right around the corner.
Alright you guys, so that's it for I Just recap. I'm going to do a second recap exclusively for the TD Ameritrade small Count Challenge, so we'll start that one right now. The most popular video on day training on YouTube was made by me. You can check it out below if you haven't already and as always, if you have questions, leave them in.
The comments I personally respond to every question that's posted on my channel.
"I feel good about 2020" LOL "Corona, hold my beer"
I want to know the story behind that ax so bad haha
I've gotta ask a silly question. I've been able to turn a $500 account into a multi million dollar account on a sim, using real time data, in a single day using Futures ES 3-20 consistently all week. Is this even really possible using a live account?
I’m not jealous 😒
Hello Ross, on the halt on RKDA, how did you see the 6.5 resumption at 10:08 AM EST, I could not see that in the Sim.
horrayyyyy… another green day.. thanks ross for sharing
Hey Ross, what is that platform you are using? HOD momentum scanner? Sounds good. Thanks
Trade-Ideas is too expensive to the new traders.
Ross…can you slap a WT logo on the pineapple and put it in the merch store so we all can have a green day?
Niice Ross!! I just purshased Trade idea, how can I purshase your scanners setup/coding? The only remaining step to become consistent.
Before i started the video i said….it must be the pineapple shirt lol awesome trade and thanks for the recaps! always!!!!
Do not answer this question … I don't know how you possibly answer all your questions. You have a que that searches for all th ?'s. Wow … thank you for answering the ones you already have for me and please … do not respond with thank you … your answers were plenty thank you enough.
Great job Ross!
Great trade, very inspiring for some of us new traders. Question, do you trade stocks for contracts? If stocks, why not contracts?
Nice Ross!!… NNVC – the stock that just keeps on giving!! 2 solid $1+ moves, and I caught them both, and then some… I traded DTSS, SINT and RKDA for some profit $$$ as well… Funny – I traded the exact same stocks (except VVNT) as you today! …Great minds think alike!! LOL… Good day for you ~ & ~ good day for me too!! CYA tomorrow morn!
Ross do u recommend using stop limit buy orders for the gap n go strategy. Asking for a friend
Stoked I basically had the same trade in $SINT. In at 2.90 out at 3.16. Just started gap n go strategy since I’ve been studying “How to Day Trade”. Hopefully I’ll be making the kind of money Ross is soon. Bummed I missed $DTSS and $RKDA but I used all my cash on $SINT. Glad to seeI’m on the right path. Thanx Ross for ur knowledge. I only wish I started following u sooner
Big day for me too lol I have a small account made 40 but that’s just from holding I had college today so I couldn’t day trade wish I could tho that’d be dope
The stocks I was holding lost value, and I sold my one winner too early . . .$9 was my 'net' with SINT
Lovin all the awesome swag!
Hello Ross, I live in Scotland and would like to start trading on the New York stock exchange. I have a trading account with my bank at the moment but it is only really for buying and selling. I would like to be able to option trade to start with while holding shares/stocks to cover my options. Who would you recommend, broker wise, as my best choice? Great channel by the way. Kind regards
What scanner do you use for gap and high of day?
Thanks ! so do you think if I wear a pinapple shirt that would be a good trading strategy ?
I also was watching SINT however I didn't notice I was looking at a 5 minute chart and never saw the pull back. Broke the rule and jumped in as it was spiking and it reversed immediately. Small little detail like looking at the right chart turned a good win into a loss. Two days in a row I played the same setup as you, just a few rookie mistakes, which can be corrected, so I know I'm on the right track. This videos are a big help.
Made 1k on $SNIT today. Opening my cmeg account tomorrow. Can’t wait to be able to day trade everyday. Thank you Ross for all you do. Daughter going to college in a year. Can’t wait till I can afford the full pro course.
Hey what is the name of the momentum scanner you are using? And do you know for free that are good?
Gravy days, nice work today! Love the energy
Good come back from such a hard start this month. One question? If I don't. Have $10,000 to start for few months do you think it would be good to start a paper account? ? If so any recommended. Any but T.D. (there having to many jam up and to much slippage) since the free transactions have overloaded there system..
I probably shouldn't laugh, but because of some technical errors with my computer and phone, I'm down 23% on SINT lol. It got to a point where I just said screw it and held. I'm sure it's a major mistake 😂
for now on i will dress like a leprecon and eat pineapples while trading haha nothing against you ross
My bank is citi-bank, How do I get an account to trade? And, how do i get the software.
