What's up, everybody welcome back to the channel today's video we're going to talk about the American Express Platinum Card and after you've used it for a year or two? Is the card actually worth it so as to write into the video to me? Is the best travel card out here? Besides some of the setbacks and American Express does have to be honest, and you know - and that's of you know when you travel into places like I just recently went to Mexico and American Express really wasn't accepted over there. More so visa was accepted and things like that, so those types of setbacks that they have. This is probably the best well-rounded travel card, in my opinion, as far as any other travel card that is currently out available to consumers and customers, and now we can talk about the benefits like five points per dollar when you are booking flights through Amex travel, comm Or through the direct airline and you're also going to get five points on hotels and your booking, Amex travel combo, certain certain hotels and things like that. So that's awesome.

I had the American Express green card and it gives you three points back on flights and any type of travel, but five B's three. These are membership, reward points, meaning that this card is really geared towards travel, you're, going to get your best value using this card. When you're redeeming it for travel, whether that's traveling, I'm sorry whether that's transferring your points from American Airlines to a different airline, you know that's where you're going to get your best value, you don't really want to use it a tax people all the time. How do you use your power points and some people say I use it for gift cards? I'm like okay, I'm kind of like cringing on the inside, because I know how devalued it is to use members or war points for gift cards as opposed to transferring over to an airline and get a lot of value for it.

Alright, it's really going to be really rare rare that you get a good value when you're transferring to over to hotels unless it's like a really nice promotion and American Express run sometimes or sometimes they do, but it's really hard. So the best way to redeem is always to transfer out. If you want to kind of just keep it nice and simple, you can always you're game point for point, so you know, sixty thousand points would be six hundred dollars. If you want to book a flight that was six nine dollars, you can always go that route.

If you don't have to play with the numbers, it's really at the end of the day is down. You know whatever you like to do, however, you like to use them, but the best way is to transfer them out so, okay, five points per dollar. We get. We also get two hundred or airline travel credit, which is awesome.

So I recently just took a flight from Mexico to the US and I had check backs and I don't I don't any longer hat. I don't any longer have the American Airlines card. That gives you a check back for free, but thankfully I still have American Airlines enrolled under my 200 hours, and I got back so my check bags that I took and checked him in which were, I think, thirty dollars a piece they recovered. So sixty dollars was given back to me and I didn't even thinking about.
I wasn't even thinking about it and it was covered and it came back to me so things like that. Two hundred, other travel credit is good for upgraded. You know you got to pay food beverage on flight check bags, things of that nature. Two hundred dollars.

You pick your airline, let's go for that year. You also get two hundred dollars back with uber a tricky news for uber or uber East, which is easy because I'm not eating that month, I'm probably taking over that month. So it works out from me. Also.

The Global Entry credit is awesome. Every five years you can get it renewed, so it really helps out big time going through with the TSA PreCheck or Global Entry, depending if you're coming back and so the stay serve you're just traveling domestically. You also have Hilton gold status, Marriott, go status and some people may say that um those statuses don't mean much especially Marriott, which I honestly do agree, but they actually mean a lot. And what I mean by that is, you can take these statuses and I have a video of the output right here.

I'll show you how to status match to get you a free trip, we're not free, but a $ 200 trip as far as hotel. Only for Atlantis in the Bahamas - and you can do this once a year. All you have to do is have Wyndham Diamond status and then you come at Windham diamond to Caesars, Diamond and Caesars Diamond. They have a collaboration with Atlantis every annual year.

You can take a trip four days: five nights, two hundred dollars, that's axes and a Atlantis Bahamas, but it starts with having marriott gold status or hilton go status, I'm doing it again this year. I did it last year and doing it again this year, I'm going to keep doing it and it gives you so many other perks. Man I mean I'm talking about the Centurion lounge priority pass. This is really geared towards a traveler.

So if you are a traveler you're, definitely getting a lot of value out of these things. If you use the Centurion lounges priority, pathologist, which I do all the time, I recently had a really long layover, we had some cancellations and you know I had my you know my my travel. I have my carry-on with me and I had some extra clothes in there. It was getting kind of hot, it was getting kind of hungry, so I went to the American Express lounge got a little bit, something to drink, got some food and I took a shower and it was amazing and I felt refreshed.

I felt good. It's a really really great value for just everything not to mention the membership of work. Points are extremely valuable. I love the sound of bonuses.

American Express has the customer service is really good. I'm just giving you a all-around perspective on how I feel about it. As of right now, the American Express offers I'm sorry, I'm missing. So many different things.
I'm sure you guys are some kind of touch bases on, but these are the things that really make the cart worthwhile. For me, it helps out tremendously again with Airport, with getting through the airport, with the statuses at hotels with getting me to other places for super cheap or free. So it's extremely valuable. If you guys, really, you know, find value in your car definitely feel free to put your comments below.

Rather, it's the Platinum car at the gold car at the green card, any of those charge cards and American Express currently have put your input down below. If you guys wanted to, you know possibly get one of these cards or any other American Express car that they have, whether it's a charge card or a credit card would be greatly appreciated. If you apply under my referral link below, not only does it help the channel out, but you also may get an increased signup bonus by clicking a referral link, as opposed to just going on the website at yourself and applying so you're helping yourself out, but giving Yourself, more cash back or MRI points or whatever it is, and you're supporting channels. Like me, we get to travel more, make more videos for you, guys and good stuff.

So if you found this, video helpful definitely make sure you like share and subscribe again check out those other two videos I put up here in the cards. While the video was playing because it's gon na really show you the in-depth on how I've come. You know. Come with American Express being the best travel card honestly for people who travel maybe more than three or four times a year.

I think it's probably really good. So definitely make sure you check that video out make sure you check out taking that Marriot status. That may not be so good and making it better by status, matched into other different hotels. Wyndham you can status match.

You can go ahead like to look Quinta. I think - and you can do so many different things with this card you this just is just amazing. Okay, so make sure you like share and subscribe have a go, take care.

Platinum card sounds like a solid choice but I'm choosing to wait on it until I'm 5/24 with Chase. I may only get 1 more card with them like the Chase Freedom and then I think I will start diving into a second hotel card (Hilton) and then the charge cards. Great video!
