What is up everybody welcome back to the channel, so this video looks familiar, doesn't it about two years ago i did a video like this for status, matching the best way to get all the luxurious benefits of all the casinos and hotels without doing the original slower And most expensive way, which is gambling. So let's get right into this video i'm doing another video, because the pandemic has started and it's shifted a lot of things in the hotel casino industry, and i want to give you an updated 2021 coveted edition of status. Matching. There's still ways to do it.

I gotcha let's go right into the video welcome back to the channel. My name is walter. I talk about travel credit. I do vlogs and i do stuff like this pretty cool stuff, especially like the status match stuff.

It's really helpful and it's a really great option. If you want those top tier statuses for hotels and casinos for all of our travelers, i am in atlantic city, new jersey, at ocean's, hotel, oceans, casino resort, um, beautiful view. You can see the boardwalk behind me with the ocean. I love the ocean view.

This is my favorite hotel in atlantic city, hands down um the room, the room, as you know, as you guys, are checking out right now. Uh, it looks amazing. I love uh, the the shower the the floor-to-ceiling windows, the views, just it's amazing and it's pretty affordable most of the time, so today's topic status matching okay. So, like i said, let's get right into it.

If you don't know what status matching is pretty much, you take one status for a certain hotel or casino, and you take that and you go to another casino and that casino or hotel will match that to their tier, whatever they find equivalent to that tier, and You just keep going and going and going and going so, let's go to the basics. So, first and foremost, i got my phone here, so i'm gon na give you some notes uh. The first thing is: how did i start my status match journey? Well, it's very simple, very easy. I started my status match journey with this bad boy right here.

The american express platinum card, the best travel card, in my opinion, hands down no competition in sight um and they just keep adding things to make it better. So that's what i started with first, so we're gon na go down a list. So first the american express platinum card is high. Get it if you want that card, make sure you apply for the referral reply for the card uh down in the description with my referral, link and i'll show you how to you know, start from right there right now we have the american express platinum card and American express platinum card gives you complimentary hilton gold status, complimentary, okay, so that's where it starts hilton, gold status.

You get that complimentary. Now you do want to status, match that hilton gold status to windham diamond. You do that by going on the windham website and i'll put everything down below for you guys, you can check it in the description you want to take that hilton gold status to status, matches to windham diamond now. Here's the issue right now to do the clovid right now, due to kovid.

There is no status match from hilton to windham diamond if you're, already windham diamond that you can. You can finish this off, unfortunately, because of the pandemic, and maybe just the offers right now. Wyndham's not accepting any status matching from like hilton or anything they're, not doing it, but keep checking they may, but for right. Now, at this video first day of spring march, 21st, 20th 2021 no status match.

But if you have windham diamond, let's continue what you're going to do is you're going to take your windham diamond status and you're going to status match that to caesar's diamond okay, and again, like i said everything's down below caesar's diamond here - are the great perks here Comes the status match cool stuff? If you are a new person uh you get a new, i'm sorry new or existing. It's the same for caesars, um and you'll notice. When i'm going down a list, some new users will get more benefits versus the returning users. So for caesar's, right now for new people and existing you get a complimentary atlantis trip.

Every year, i'm going to atlantis at bahamas, nassau bahamas this year in may, and i'm only staying for a total of forty dollars for five days of four nights. If any of you know atlantis bahamas, atlantis bahamas can easily run you 300 hours a night, i'm staying for forty dollars total, and that includes the water park and all that good stuff. That's because of the status match. Not only does caesar's give you that, because they have a relationship with atlantis, you also get no resort fees at any caesar's property, so atlantic city, las vegas or anywhere else in the u.s or places where caesars is no resort fees, which saves a lot of money, Especially in las vegas - and you also get a 100 dinner celebration - every fiscal year, atlantic city and las vegas - i'm going to use it this year in las vegas at gordon ramsay's, hell kitchen.

I've heard so many great reviews about it. So i can literally go in there. Spend 140 worth of food, show them my caesar's diamond card, and it will come down to forty dollars. That's what i call a a bargain.

That is a steal. I love it. So that's what caesar's giving you right now and, like i said, that's done on the website. You just status match from windham to caesar's diamond next, is more so for atlantic city.

But again, trust me this. This process is amazing, hard rock royalty, hard rock hotel casino on the ac boardwalk you're, going to take your caesars diamond card and you're going to status match to hard rock royalty hard rock royalty is their top tier. I believe um yeah, it's our top tier. I believe i'm not mistaken.

For new users, you get two comp nights any day of the week right, plus fifty dollars in free play for new people. Only okay. Now, if you're, not new, you can still tier match after it expires because it expires every year. You can go from caesars to hard rock royalty again, but you know it's not that many perks, but what you do get is uh you get a free car wash.

Typically, you get access to free shows, you get free parking and valet parking, so i mean i can save you money over the time of the year. Free car washes to free parking, valet parking. That can save you a lot of money, so i would still definitely status match to that. If you can, because why not? You may not get the two free nights, but you still get free things when you come out and you never know you may get free, comps and you're more likely to get free comps at that high tier than no tier at all.

The third one is going to be ocean's casino resort. This is where i am right now. Okay, now what you're going to do is take your caesars diamond card or hard rock royalty card and you're going to upgrade to ocean's diamond ocean is platinum, ocean's, platinum and all tears get free parking by the way. So that's what they have right now.

Unfortunately, there is no free free nights going on right now, but this casino right now is giving out comp nice every monday through thursday every week um. So you really don't need the free nights right now because they're giving out comp nights. But the lady downstairs. I talk to her frequently when i come here: she's, very cool, the the the promotions at oceans change very frequently, so right now you cannot status match back after you status match the first year, if you're an existing user, and if you are a new user, you Don't get any free, knights or any free play, or anything like that.

You just pretty much right now. I honestly just get free parking but they're, giving out a bunch of comp nights. So i can understand why there is no extra free answer to give in to you're, basically getting free nights right now for any tier as long as you're here, and i think you get maybe like two a week or something like that um. So that is something you can maybe hold off on.

I would say if you're, a new user maybe hold off on status, matching to oceans right now, because right now, they're just not offering any free nights, and i would if i'm you i want to take advantage of the free knights. Number four is going to be m life. Gold m life. Gold is good in vegas, it's good in atlantic city.

It's good where any mgm property is. You can take your caesar's diamond card and status match to m life gold right now. No customers, no new customers, are getting any comp rooms at the moment when i status match, i got a free room and i got i think fifty dollars a free play or a hundred and fifty dollars a free play, um. So right now, they're not doing that.

What you do get, first and foremost, you do get free parking, free parking, free, valet parking and if you are an existing, so let's say like for me. This is my second time doing the status matching so for mlife gold. Right now you can re-status match yourself to em life gold, but you won't get any free nights, but you will get free parking or free, violent, free, valet parking, and when i was in vegas that was really good um. I got free parking, free, valet parking and i was there for a couple of days at the bellagio.

So staying there with free parking was a really good option. I would probably hold off for new customers with m life gold as well. Unless you don't care about it and you want to free parking, but i typically tell my people: if you're going to go somewhere, you may want to get free nights so again hold off for oceans. Probably in m live gold.

I have two new ones that i didn't talk about in my last video one in atlantic city and the other one in philadelphia, but they have different places. They have one in texas, maryland and all that good stuff. So, let's talk about that, so the one in atlantic city is called resorts. It's the only one in the world i took my caesar's diamond or heart rock royalty card, either or, and it status matched me to red carpet.

Red carpet gave me a free night, probably not going to stay there. To be honest with, you was looking at some of the reviews of the rooms and it's an older hotel. It's been there for about 30 years. They gave me a free night.

I also got free uh drinks. I got two uh top tier show, i'm not talking like low shelf alcohol, two top shelf alcohol. I got some remy. I got two double shots for free, so i definitely took advantage of that.

So right now they're giving a free night and they are letting me use it up to. I think, the end of march - i'm probably not going to use it. But if you like resorts - and you want a status match to the highest tier - you can do that as well and yeah. They gave me two free shots, so i think it was one of the first hotels to actually be on the ac boardwalk.

So that was a new one for me, i didn't even think of status matching to that one. Last time i was here last but not least, is live. They have a live in maryland. I know they have one in dallas texas and they just open one up in philadelphia.

So i took my status matching from atlantic city, new jersey and i went to philadelphia. I mean i live in that region, so it took me like 10 minutes to get to the hotel. When i got there, i got um. I got the black card, which i think is the third to highest here, and that gave me a free night, and it also gave me 100 dollars in slot play and it comes with like free, valet parking, late check out like priority lanes when you're in there And things like that discounts when you're at the restaurants, but the free night was amazing and 100 slot play.

I did win. I did end up winning like 130 bucks from it, so i got a free slot play of 100 and i won 130 bucks and i got a free night and it's a brand new hotel. Now it's pretty cool too! So yes, and then, with that black card at live, you can take it to different places, so you may not be in atlantic city or philadelphia or maryland. They got them in all.

They got them all over. I know they have live properties so yeah. That was the last one. Those are right now the status matching uh for 2021., like i said a couple of them like in life and oceans, casino, probably hold off on those.

I tend to have my new customer to want to get the comp nights because you only get comp nights once so you don't want to really miss out on comp nights. This alone, in my opinion, is worth the american express platinum cards annual fee of 550. The status matching is amazing and again you're paying 550. This perk right here is something that's not really even talked about much, so the card is paying for itself like more than once and again 550.

It's not a lot of money compared to the people that are out here, spending thousands of dollars a year per casino to get these uh tears, um so definitely worth it. In my opinion, let me know what you guys think about the video um my favorite one out of all these is probably caesar's, because, though it's not giving out free nights at caesars, i don't have to say caesar's. I can go to atlantis every year for almost free, so i'll take that every year at the 100 annual celebration dinner - and you can take it at certain places amazing. So this was a status launch video for 2021 pandemic edition.
