Today's video is gon na, be very specific about the American Express authorized users, and should you get an Amex authorized, user' gold card or Amex authorized user' Platinum Card. Let's go right into the video alright! So again, my name is the credit commercial. We talk about travel, we're talking about credit and all that good stuff.

The link is in the description below, so today's video is gon na be about authorized users and how we can you know, benefit from them.

As far as the American Express Platinum Card, it was much, did you get so there are two types of authorized users across you can get with the American says Platinum Card. You can get the American Express gold card, hey you or you can also get the American Express Platinum Card, a you, a you stand for authorized, user'. Okay, so let me give you the benefits to break down into fees for both, so the American Express Platinum Card. The actual main cardholder has the annual fee and a personal outside of five hundred and fifty bucks.

This is a bunch of videos that I've done as far as benefits and things of that nature. I don't want to get into that. The authorized users, you can get a platinum card in a gold card, the MX authorized user' gold cards. So let's say you wanted to give your spouse or your a family.

Member of yours. Access to your car to use you can give them a gold or a platinum card either or the gold cards have a zero dollar annual fee and you can get up to 99 of those which I don't know. If you're going to have 99 a use authorized users on one account, but it's good to know that you have a lot of space. So you know you got couple family members you want to put on there or a spouse or work for a girlfriend.

You definitely have the capacity to do so all right. So that's that's 90! That's zero dollars! Okay and then you have the American Express Platinum, authorized user' car, where you can add three authorized users for a total of 175 dollars total. So if you have three of them, you can say: hey. Look 175 divided by three is about fifty nine dollars.

You oughta pay me about sixty bucks and you all have American Express Platinum Card or my off on. My account is authorized. Use it for sixty bucks. Total or one person can pay the 175 doesn't matter and then, if you wanted to get a fourth person or a fifth person after that third person, each person has to now pay 175.

So for the first three people you're only paying 175, and so it's really good. You know that said you have one person on there who has platinum cards and the rest is gold, just give them all platinum cards to kind of really eat up the annual fee, because you know three people of a total of 175, as opposed to after that, After that third person, now each person after that spin 175 for their authorized user' card, I heard the benefits that should get put the gold card as an authorized user. This is not the same. Let me just put that out there as the American Express gold card.

It is completely different. The American Express of gold authorized user' card gives you a 100 dollar reimbursement per card. So that said, you have 10 people that are authorized gold card users on your account. They each will get a $ 100 Global Entry, slash TSA, PreCheck credit.

Every four and a half years, which is good to obviously get Global Entry and or TSA PreCheck, whichever one they want, just give Global Entry because it comes with both and that's for each card holder, so that right there is putting in their pocket $ 100 they're. Already, winning with $ 100, the next benefit that they get after that five points per dollar, when flights booked directly with the flight with the airline or through Amex travicom, and that's pretty much it. Those are the only two benefits. So, let's say, for example, if you have somebody who just doesn't really want to pay the 175 or the 60 or, however, you guys want to do it.

They just want to kind of just get our feet wet with Amex. You can give them a gold card and have them start off that way, don't have an annual fee and if they travel with you guys, not gon na you know, spouse or a companion or, however, they travel with you, instead of just giving them TSA PreCheck. Whenever you're on the reservation, even if they fly by ourselves now, they'll have Global Entry, tsa, PreCheck and all that stuff, as long as they pay for the fee of $ 100 on their cart and they'll, get it reimbursed within a few weeks all right. So that's the benefit for the gold cart and also, like I said 5x on flights with the airline's directly or Amex Chava comm.

Now for the Platinum Card, you get the metal card, obviously, which is always a bonus to kind of have that they get to have that in our pockets, but they also get a lot more benefits. So, along with the global introduced, a pre-check that the gold get, the Platinum also gets that as well. They also get the 5x per dollar on flights directly with Airlines and also a metric travicom. They also get access to fine hotels and resorts also get access to the Centauri lounges by themselves.

Without your being, there does to Sky lounges, they get their own prop already pass account. They also get their own Marriott gold elite and Hilton goalie status, which is awesome and again, like I said from there, you can staff as much to so many different places. They have a lot more benefits. They also get the opportunity to use your $ 100 sex if Avenue, credit and keep in mind that you're not get their loan.

They have the ability and then I'll use. Yours and you know they always. You know they get all the other Amex benefits that anybody else any other car hoarder gets like. You know trip delay and all that good stuff, so they get a lot more benefits for a total of 175 for the first three people, and my opinion is definitely worth it again.

If you're someone who's just getting our feet wet and you just want to be on the account - definitely do the go-kart, but he was somebody who wants to get the same benefits most of the benefits that you're. You know. I count your main account. Holder gets without the necessarily having to be there with you all the time, definitely worth paying to 175 by yourself, because even if you're, not here, you're that person and you just it's just one person on the academy, look look I want to pay.

You know you get your own MX platinum account and pay five. Fifty or you can just be a authorizers or an Eric and get 175. It's up to you me personally. If I had the option to be on an authorized user account for Amex, I would definitely do the Platinum one pay the 175 myself as opposed to paying 550.

No, I won't get like you know, points and stuff on my own name and a struggle to the man cardholder, but I'm still getting all the travel perks that I want. That's the reason I have the card. You know I got the metal card like at the 5x, that's going to the card holder, obviously, but I also have the opportunity to use the sex with Avenue credit which is now sex with Avenue and also Barclays Barneys. I'm sorry, Barclays Barney's and I also get access to Centauri, lounges Delta Sky lounges, Hardy past memberships, Hilton go status, Marriott, go status, I'm getting a lot more things for 175 and those benefits.

Yes to me, they are worth a hundred and seventy-five bucks set alone. Just let alone just the $ 100 TSA / Global Entry, pre-check that you get every four and a half years. It's definitely worth it. That brings two annual fee for the first year from 175 to 275 bucks, and then all the statuses that you get definitely make the status worth definitely make the car over 75 bucks.

So those are the two differences again guys. I'm team Amex Platinum, authorized user as opposed to the go-cart, but it really depends on your situation again. If you're just getting your feet wet, do the gold card.
