What's up everybody welcome back to the channel if you're new here my name is Walt. This is the credit card marshal channel. This channel is all about traveling credited values, travel hacks, all that good stuff vlogs saw the internet, make sure you subscribe button. Today's topic is gon na be about the AMEX Gold Card.

I want to talk about this card and how to maximize this babbling right here. This is a very powerful card as long as you're maximizing it the right way, so we're going to get into the fuse a kind of give you the perks that has and make sure you're using every perk possible to always even after year, one after the sign Up bonus to get the best value to get, you know more value than what you're putting out for an annual fee. So let's get right into this video, alright, so the most obvious one is year: one you're always gon na get the best value. Typically with Amex.

Go MX gold card, MX, platinum card, typically any AMEX card or any like really premium card, you're going to get the best value pretty much from the first year and here's why, with the MX cool cards so right now? Currently, this is a non targeted offer you're going to be getting thirty five thousand membership where war points. If you spend two thousand dollars within the first three months of account opening, so it's very easy and simple to do. All you have to do is spend two thousand dollars in the first three months, you're going to get thirty five thousand membership reward points that, at the minimum, is equal to three fifty, depending on how you maximize and maybe transfer partners with Airlines transfer to hotels gift Card statement, credits depending on how you maximize the card and how you transfer the points or use the points will depend on how much is going to get back from that. But typically it's going to be one so pretty much one point per dollar.

So it's pretty much thirty five thousand points. That's a very minimum. It's gon na be three hundred fifty dollars, which is not bad. So the annual fee is two fifty from the get-go.

If you get that signup bonus, you're getting three fifty you've already kind of cured. The annual fee right in in there, but there are better ways that you can kind of maximize that as far as 350 and get more value, but first first and foremost yes year, one you're going to get most expected value. I mean the silent bonus kind of does it itself. So, let's get into like the years after that, after the silent bonus is dead and gone.

Let's see what we can do so score over these benefits. First to see we can maximize so the first benefit you're going to be getting for membership reward points per dollar, I'm at you as restaurants for MRP membership war points per dollar spent at supermarkets up to $ 25,000. So if you're spending twenty five thousand dollars at a supermarket per year, which is doable for most families or maybe more than one or two, you know you do twenty five times. Four, that's a hundred okay.

So that is a hundred thousand membership reward points you can get just off of that. So that's a lot of points. 100,000 MRP at the very minimum, is going to be a thousand dollars in value. So if you can actually spin twenty five thousand dollars and get four points per dollar at that supermarket each and every time, you're going to be getting a lot of MRP points, which is a lot of points.

So a hundred thousand points is a lot. So you're kind of already killing the engine see right there within itself. Three membership reward points per dollar all flights booked on Amex travel or directly with the airline. So if you're somebody who doesn't have the Amex Platinum Card - and you don't get five points per dollar, you can definitely get three points per dollar when you are using it at the AMEX portal or directly with airline.

So you're also going to be getting a one hundred and twenty dollar statement credit per per month, so you're going to kind of break that into twelve months, so twelve 120 divided by 12, is ten dollars. So each month you'll get a credit of ten dollars. Just very similar to with Amex platinum gives to you, with uber credits for the Cheesecake Factory, Shake Shack locations, GrubHub seamless, all these really great places that people use. Nowadays I love grub hub.

I love the Cheesecake Factory. I love Shake Shack. We have a couple: Shake Shack locations, it's small, but it's a lot you're also going to get $ 100 per year for incidentals for airlines, so you actually have to pick your airline. My favorite ones are American and Delta, and you know right now: I'm just kind of will just play it: safe, don't buy gift cards right now, so anything miss for baggage fees or maybe upgraded seat fees.

Maybe snacks on board can make sure you enroll. Once you pick your airline for that year, you can't use any other airline so $ 100 per year. So if you do the 120 for the you know, GrubHub seamless, Shake Shack, got credit plus the 100. That's already two hundred and twenty dollars.

The annual fee is 250, so 250 220, it's already $ 30 that you got it only all you got to make up for it now spread your dollars and it's really easy to do so. We also got some notes here. Okay, so you also get a 100 dollar hotel credit. Now, here's the best part about this.

Okay, the hotel credit. You have to stay at least two nights and it has to be booked directly through American Express the Hotel Collection. So those are one of the really nice luxury places. So, even if you use this, you even have use this one time, you're already killing the annual fee by seventy dollars, because you have $ 100 and the incidentals $ 100 in the hotel collection credit which you can use for like spas, and things like that.

You know food, you also get upgraded with the hotel collection and then $ 120 per year from the credit, firm, GrubHub, seamless, Shake Shack. So that's already three hundred and twenty dollars you're already in the positive 70 bucks. So if you use those all what you should be doing, you're already up in the positive 70 dollars now, here's the best part again about the hotel collection. You can use it more than one time and there is no cap on it.

So you can use this three times a year four times a year and get our $ 100 and it's you know a spa or food or something like that. So the more you use that perk the better. Now, let's get in some some of the things that people don't normally use, and I actually noticed it's just talking to people and kind of you know interacting a lot of people. Don't use the perks that the car gives you and that's not really like the popular perks, it's kind of more so in the bottom of the page.

That's the premium roadside assistance, I'm telling you everybody premium. Roadside assistance actually saved my butt a few weeks ago. So lock the keys in the car didn't have another set of keys, they came out. Did it for me for free got me in? I was perfect.

There's been a couple of times where I didn't have a spare, I'm in my other car before I got my was in my new car, I'm on my other car, where the tires and I got flat, didn't have a spare. They told me to the nearest location act up to X amount of miles before they charged you. You can use this up to four times per year, so let's say your battery dies in a very cold winter day or something like that or you break down on a solder road on a very hot day or something they can come to you up to four Times per year, free of charge, and after maybe like maybe put a spare patch your tire, I mean I'm gon na charge. The battery made me give you a jump or something like that help you get your keys at the car that can save you a lot of money four times per year.

Most of us may not use it for it times per year, but to know it has back, it's perfect Amex offers awesome. So Amex offers much going to show you a video here too, and actually, when you're seemly, looking I'm actually doing this kind of live and I'm logging into my Amex website online Fontainebleau the steakhouse I saw, I saw the Caesars Las Vegas, I'm actually going through. This is that was my first time actually seeing those I'm actually adding those. So Amex actually urges you to.

You know, use their card, obviously, because they make money from it. Then they also have you know collaborations, and you know, partnerships with these companies. So, for example, the Caesars or the Fontainebleau, these are the preferred spending. You know the Amex want you to spend on their card and if you spend on their card over a certain amount, you can actually save money.

So you know you're gon na be going on a Caesars website anyway, and spending $ 200 go ahead and get $ 40 back. That's saving you 40 bucks right there. It counts, it counts with you, torture annual fee. It definitely does or go ahead and say it to fine.

I'm gon na go do that. Anyway, the rooms cost about 300 a night already so you're spending 250 or you know or more. You can get a fifty off you're gon na, say there anyway just go ahead and book it on your index card directly through the website. Obviously, not too, like a third party you're going to get $ 50 back so MX offers are unlimited, the more you use it.

The more you will save - and you can really I mean 250 - is not a lot of money. So, like you use your Amex offers pretty often either that you're going to get points back or cash back, one or the other. It kind of just depends on how it makes is filling with your target or offer you're gon na be saving some money. Okay.

Now here's another thing: I want to talk about shop Runner shop. Runner is really good, for you know places like, for example, of Saks Fifth Avenue, so, typically a shop runner costs $ 79 per year to have. But this is a free perk. You get with your Amex gold card and you have to just enroll, but once you get approved for the card through your online banking portal with Amex, but on $ 79 it cost per year, you get it for free.

They have a partnership of shop runner. It gives you free two-day shipping so if you're buying something or sex with Avenue, instead of waiting a few more days, maybe like three to five or seven to 10 you're going to be getting free, expedited shipping today shipping for free. So that's a big one and again also the Amex referrals. I cannot tell you how much money I have gotten back every year and maxing out my cap, so I believe you get four or five per year, I'm not sure my Amex platinum car, for example, you get 15,000 for the first.

I believe three or four, maybe she'll war points and then the last one you get 10,000. So I believe it comes up to about 55,000. So let me see 1010, so 15, 15, 15 and then ten so yeah you get four total per year and that right there, if you've, you know five 55,000 membership with war points. It's $ 550 for the MX platinum card.

That kills the any of you out there within a sub. So if you have a youtube channel like me, if you have friends who love your card, if you have strangers who love the card shoot them your referral link, you can get four of these per year per card. You can max out, and you can really save money - that way too and get your points up too so guys there are so many different ways. You can really build this card.

I would definitely say the MX gold card and in my case I got the rose. Gold, when this came out back in, I believe January, I'm not mistaking you can really benefit really benefit big-time. So this is my time to kind of put mine down there. You can also get an expedited and start on an X file.
