My name is sean. I recently made a video breaking down my net worth and my plan to become a millionaire by the end of 2021 and if you watch that video, you know that typically, my investing strategy is a slow and steady one where i meticulously calculate the risk, because i'm A very risk-averse person normally, but you know then uh, then reddit happened unless you've been living under a rock you'll know that gamestop has been lighting up the media. Lately i mean we're no longer talking about politics, we're talking about a company that is more than likely going to be going out of business in the next five to ten years. However, there was an insane amount of money to be made in the stock during this time frame of the last week or two that i pulled all of my assets and put it into gamestop, with an average buy-in price of 280 dollars and 16 cents.

I did cut my losses and sold all of my shares, meaning i lost eighty percent of my net worth in a single day. Ah, what the f i gotcha, if you know anything about me, you'll know that i never ever buy into any type of hype. Ever i have to do the research for myself and i am more interested in building my wealth at a slow and steady pace that is relatively risk-free in comparison to basically just throwing it at some hype, train and hoping to become a millionaire overnight. I literally said in my net worth video that i have been grinding and busting my butt for the last five years.

I am not willing to risk that in a hyper aggressive stock, that's essentially just getting pumped up by the media because of shorts. That's what we call a pump and dump and that's gambling not investing now i want to take a step back if you made some money off gamestop good for you, i'm very happy for you. I actually made some money off some similar stocks that was having the exact same kind of strategy that was going around with wall street bets and read it and all that kind of stuff, just some different tickers that wasn't necessarily gamestop or amc or actually i'll show You a screenshot right here of an account of mine with some money that i like playing around with, and i essentially got a 20 return in 30 days, which is pretty insane to me. So while i didn't become a millionaire off the gamestop craze, i didn't make a little bit of money and, more importantly, i didn't lose my booty and go completely broke.

However, while i might not have lost everything in the stock market this past week or two, i did lose everything in regards to this channel and essentially my youtube career over the last 10 years or whatever it's been. I lost every single piece of content on my computer that has been on a hard drive since 2009. We're talking videos in video templates, thumbnails and thumbnail templates channel art brand deal contracts, affiliate agreements, royalty-free music, that i like using and most importantly, i lost a single word document that had all of my banger video ideas that i had planned for this year. It might sound like no big deal, but this is a massive deal to me because again, i've had files on that hard drive since 2009 and we're talking so many things that help me streamline the process of making a video that now i no longer have, and I have to completely rebuild from scratch.

Ultimately, that's why i haven't been uploading to this channel in the last three to four weeks is because, when you spend 10 years building up a massive amount of content and overnight it just gets completely wiped in a split second. It really sucks and it feels like you, lost everything in the stock market, but you know what i'm not leaving it sucks but long story short. I was upgrading my pc and one of the hard drives that i had. It was a six terabyte, hard drive that i've had all of my content on um.

Essentially during the transfer, the drive completely took a poop and i lost everything and before all you nerds are like oh sean. You can never lose data on a hard drive. You just got to go, get it repaired or whatever yeah. No i've taken this drive to numerous data recovery.

Centers, it's been rebuilt reformatted, the partitions are completely fried and all of the content is gone. So, instead of me sitting around hoping to get this data back somehow from the grave i figured, i just got: ta cut my losses and move forward in rebuilding all of my content, exactly how you would go about when you make a bad investment, got to keep Keeping on, i guess, but what does this mean moving forward on my channel? Well, i just really want to make this video to give you guys an update on where i've been the past few weeks. But ultimately, it just means that it's going to take me a little while probably a couple months to get my channel back into the swings of where it was at in terms of the quality of the content that i'm releasing on here. So you're still going to be getting videos every week moving forward, but it's not going to be at the quality that i would really like them to be.

I will get back to that level, but again i need to rebuild everything. So it's going to take a little bit of time and i'm asking all of you to have a little bit of patience with me and seriously. The biggest bummer of this whole thing is literally losing that one word document with all of my video ideas because they were freaking awesome this year and i was so excited for my 2021 videos that i had planned and now it's all gone. So what i would ask all of you to do is please drop me.

A comment on some video content ideas that you'd like to see or tweet tweet them at me, or hit me up on instagram or whatever, i'm basically rebuilding that to start on what kind of content i want to be creating, and i know it sounds like what You came up with at one time. You should be able to come up with it again. Yes, but i got so much going through my mind that i just like to have this word document, where i dump all these great ideas and yeah kerplunk, but again just wanted to make a quick video telling everyone what's been going on where i've been, and i Hope, you're still excited for the content, i'm going to be dropping in 2021. I just got to attack it harder than before, so i'm really excited because it gives me a little bit more motivation to go out there and just recreate everything.

Oh and i'm hoping that this whole gamestop craze brings more interest in the stock market, because i would love to make some videos on some of the risk-free, risk-free investments that i like making in the stock market.
