Well, as expected, the United States and now an International Coalition are sending warships to the Sus. Canal Yes, uh, not the straight of Heros which would be significantly more impactful to What's Happening Here. In fact, if we take a peak here, this is where our problems are right. Here here is the Red Sea.
Our problems are right here in about this 18m wide Gap Right here where off the host of Yemen Houthi Insurgent Rebels Uh, who have frequently fought the Yemenese government are able to attack Uh shipping lanes. Uh through this Corridor here northbound traffic heading towards Israel and Europe southbound traffic heading towards China and India. This is, albeit a less vital Crossing than the straight of Foros, which is right over here, just off the coast of Dubai Going through the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf this shipping straight over here could be substantially more impactful to our economy. and so there are some beliefs that attacks could occur in this straight as well.
Though they would be less likely given that Yemen is Uh bound to the particular straight on this side. Uh. and so Goldman Sachs put together a great piece on this: Goldman Sachs Believes that the effect of Uh oil production and oil prices on a tax over in this particular straight could be Uh in the neighborhood of $3 to4 in increase of oil cost per barrel on this particular straight. Uh.
However, the Uh price increases that you would expect to see from Supply disruptions could be in the neighborhood of 25 to 50% in increased costs for freight shipping in the region due to these disruptions off the coast of Yemen So substantially larger impact on how much damage we could see from shipping prices rather than exactly on oil prices. I Think this is also something we saw in the market open live stream this morning when we were looking at Brent prices and I suggested there was a high likelihood that the United States would come to defend uh Uh War via warships, shipping ships in shipping ships, shipping containers in this area. If you take a look over here on the right side, you can see the nominal impact we've actually seen to oil prices over the last Uh 3 months here. Oil Pric has been virtually straight down.
Of course we've had a little bit of Pop here recently due to some of the Uh intensity of what's going on in uh, the area of the Red Sea Now we do have uh talk though of us warships in route uh to the Red Sea more than we already have. The excuse me The potential risk now though is that us warships that may be not properly equipped for dealing with the Drone attacks or missile attacks rather, uh, more properly equipped to deal with pirate attacks might end up relying on Uh sea to land missiles like tomahawk missiles that might end up escalating conflicts in the region. So these are going to be things that we really want to pay attention to consider. For example, what we've posted over on Uh, Ec.com we have a full breakdown of this on Ec.com Now one of the things you can see when you go to Ec.com is where we're posting all of our res. Arch Now as we're going through and updating research here, one of the things we're finding and we saw this this morning as well in the market Open live stream is that ships are being diverted around Africa Uh, this is adding about 14 days to commute times for container ships. There are again two directions you can go here. There is a lot of Russian oil that travels South through the straight. In fact, southbound oil traffic makes up about 62% of the traffic going through this straight.
so the southbound traffic is less affected. mostly because Houthi Rebels launching attacks from Yemen are specifically attacking Northbound ships. They're doing this on purpose so that they can attack Israel right over here. So by attacking Israel or ships that are trending north towards Israel not necessarily going into the Mediterranean Sea, but potentially stopping at Israel, they are essentially retali in against international support for Israel's combat in Gaza.
And so this is, uh, a sympathetic uh, you know in this case, uh, Shia Islamic uh, sympathetic attack against shipments going north through this straight. Now this also could potentially like stability in this Re region does also support Russia, China and India because again, 62% of traffic is Southbound and Russia has been sending a lot of their oil now that they're boycotted in Europe and the United States South through this, straight through the Mediterranean, the edge of the Mediterranean over here through the straight and then out to India and China. So Russia benefits from stability in the Red Sea, but so does the United States and Secretary of State Lloyd Austin has indicated that he believes we've already started to see economic damage due to instability in this reg. You've got shipping companies like MK and BP routing their ships around the Cape of Africa here a much longer commute, and it's very difficult to very quickly scale up how many ships you have in a region, so it's challenging to actually limit the inflationary prices on shipping containers when you have a disruption like this.
Obviously, this is leading to concerns that maybe you could end up seeing an infl inflationary impetus as a result of these tensions. A lot of bears right now are of course discussing the potential that uh-oh if this escalates, we could end up having inflationary pressures that derail the Federal Reserve estimates to actually cut rates. Remember that right now, we have five interest rates being priced in by the market, and uh, five interest rate Cuts priced in by the market with three basically priced in by the Federal Reserve. So if you have a little bit of a mismatch there between the two, one thing that you'll notice if you go to Ec.com is I actually provided a little bit of an update on Barkin views here from the Federal Reserve as well. Uh, right below this uh oil piece right here where I have my Goldman Sachs research linked as well. You're welcome to click on that and then you'll get the annotated piece on this, which is kind of cool. You can see my highlights on the actual PDFs here, but Barkin suggested that uh, inflation Uh has has acted stubbor stubbor so more stubborn. However, if inflation Falls nicely, the FED would respond appropriately, implying: uh, more Cuts right? However, the benefit of potentially those sorts of cuts is being called into question over fears of this instability Happening Here in the Red Sea And so now the United States has announced with the Pentagon a multinational task force to protect Red Sea traffic and so really, what they plan to do is escort individual ships or groups of ships into and through Uh, the Uh Sus Canal Basically, there is a very specific segment of it and it's called The Bob Alab Shipping Lane I'm probably butchering the pronunciation on this, but it's also important to remember that this shipping Lane and the attacks in the shipping Lane are very different from the shipping Lane attacks that we generally get around the coast of Africa or off the coast of Somalia Remember, we have pirate dare I say infested waters off the coast of Somalia and pirate attacks are very different and that pirate attacks are usually involving dingies and smaller vessels that can either be used as like basically driven missiles like suicide missiles into the Sh S side of larger ships.
uh, to which case, usually shipping uh uh vessels will use water cannons to try to fend off p Pates Uh that is a very different style of attack or defense than what you would expect if uh Rockets are being shot at you from the coast of Yemen or drones are being used to essentially suicide bomb well, not really suicide Bom Kamakazi Bomb Since they're drones, unmaned, drones, Kamakazi attack your warships. This is also coming at the same time that the Pentagon is actually released a P Um A uh a request for proposal on Em devices. In fact, if you go to Ec.com and you just type in EMP EMP electromagnetic pulse and then click down a little bit Uh, since I'm getting like unemployment popping up here when I type in EMP well we'll go and find it here. Uh, there it is.
US Government Seeking aircraft carried EMP weapons. The US government has posted a request for information and looking for market research for EMP Solutions towards countering unmanned aircraft. EMP Solutions could be ground or aerial-based that would help provide effective mitigation against groups 1, two, and three of smaller groups of aircrafts. These basically include drones uh, and otherwise.
and again, we've we've linked that. so you have all of that information in the sources directly off of Ehack, when you when you want to find where that source is. Uh, so again, that's Ec.com But anyway. Uh, this is all happening at the same time where the government is really trying to expand their ability to fight drone attacks. Whether it's through the Drone attacks that we experienced at Russia or the drones that were supplying to Uh to Ukraine to fight Russia Bearing in mind that Iran is building drone manufacturing facilities just outside of Moscow to continue to supply drones to Russia and Moscow which basically means what you're doing is you're creating drone on drone Warfare It's going to become even more common for Us defensive warships to have to defend against drone attacks, which is a very different type of attack that we're not extremely used to defending against. Yet again, this is where there is a risk of potential escalation and that what happens if the United States starts sending Tomahawk cruise missiles to attack Targets on the coast of Yemen where Houthis are launching their drone attacks from and could that then lead to the potential civilian casualties in Yemen leading to a broader outcry in the Middle East of anti-American sentiment, which that anti-American sentiment could potentially explode into damage in again the straight of Heros which is where we previously had one of these uh, one of those container ships run a ground and this is a significantly more important shipping Lane for Uh for Global oil prices and Global Supply. So we want to be really careful and pay attention to what's happening here. Obviously, keep in mind that Houthi Rebels and the Houthi organization have reported via Al Jazer that they stand uh highly in opposition to the US and International Coalition uh to to provide force in the Red Sea duh.
Though of course the Houthis don't want us warships here because the US is just absolutely going to cream these folks. The problem with that is when you start creaming the enemy, you do potenti potentially create International outcry. Uh, so uh. There is also hope that the United States is going to uh be able to collaborate with countries like the United Kingdom or or uh uh, you know the Um or Australia uh to to end up supporting Uh, the Counterattack In this particular region uh, Bahrain France nor Norway they're all getting involved.
This is being called operation Prosperity Guardian and again, it is a way of the United States essentially escorting Uh, or some of our allies escorting uh, you know, cargo ships box ships which are also known as container ships or oil ships. Uh through the region. Keep in mind Bloomberg Intelligence has just released an argument that the Red Sea crisis is quote Absolutely inflationary. Absolutely Inflationary is is what Bloomberg Intelligence is calling this crisis.
Uh, And so it is something to pay attention to It's probably at the moment. Uh, I would call I would call this the one of the largest Tinder boxes that we have right now. uh for uh, potential inflationary impulses and so we want to limit this as much as possible. Over the last few days, I've been suggesting that it's highly likely that the United States is going to send warships to the region and be involved in Uh in in limiting the Uh the damage of this again. This is why we've posted about this in full detail at Ec.com You can always see that there as well of our as well as our other updates. I Also posted a valuation update to the House Hack Channel You could see that Linked In the description down below. If you want to learn more about what's going on with House Hack valuation for House Hack what the latest is that we're doing with the real estate startup At the same time, if we go, take a peek at what's going on with crude prices Right now for oil, we can see uh: oil prices on the Western blend are up about 1.4% on the day, international blend is up about 1.49% 10-year treasury still down about 3.4 four basis points and Market mostly holding on to its gains. You're sitting about 1 a half% Tesla 40 bips on the NASDAQ N phase up about 8% Uh, you've got clearly some recognition of of some real value there at N Phase Nvidia at about 1.5% Uh.
to the downside? getting rejected there at about that 500 level just like Tesla continues to get rejected at the 158 if you're a Trader This morning, we covered that. the resistance level we'd be paying attention to as the market was opening for Tesla was $58 or sorry. $258 per share. And as you can see, as the day expanded, we literally got rejected by 258 twice.
So exactly what we thought would happen would end up happening. Uh, so uh, keep that in mind there. There's going to be some anxiety before we get to these next breakout levels for some of these, and these Houthi attacks are absolutely going to accelerate the pain that we're seeing in the region here. Yeah, exactly.
Keep in mind, Vsi here says it correctly: A lot of the goods that we have come from overseas, and even if it's not uh, the best, uh, or or or like that, everything comes from the Middle East It Sometimes critical components come from the mid, uh, from from, you know, travel through the Middle East to come to America So sometimes we might not be able to finish that computer build. For example, because we're waiting for something that is caught up in a supply chain crisis somewhere. So much of what we use these days is so interconnected with different parts, parts and materials. uh that uh that that sometimes one one ship uh can actually delay multiple multiple different uh uh, Industries in in in the region Uh, and so it's it's uh, very, very, very challenging.
Uh so uh. Then we have, uh, somebody here says war is brewing right now in the Red Sea Ethiopian government bombing its own people. Major changes coming to the Red Sea Uh. At the same time, us is reviewing whether to label the Houthis as a terrorist organization or not. Probably should have been a long time ago. Uh Josh Pittz, uh, doesn't think that Emps are real Uh I Never said that uh, Emps are real and I never said that they weren't real. What I said is that the United States government has released a request for information so that companies that believe they're developing or can develop EMP technology should send that to the Department of Defense for a contract. So if uh, if you're concerned, uh, you know that about that, maybe rewind the video and catch up a little bit on what I actually said before.
You kind of, uh, mistake that one. Uh so uh. very interesting though. These things, uh, we want to pay attention to absolutely here.
Looking for a little bit more here on this situation. The uh. The argument about this being inflationary from Uh Bloomberg intelligence is going to be something a lot of folks do pay attention to. Uh and uh, the any kind of volatility like this in oil markets is something that does feed through the entire economy.
It's very easy to forget that even though we can remove energy price fluctuations by just saying hey, we're going to look at specifically core Uh styles of inflation. read: that does not necessarily mean that oil prices don't end up increasing costs at all levels throughout all walks of life for business or otherwise, so keep that in mind. But yes, indeed. Uh Us is reviewing whether to label the Houthis as a terrorist organization as well.
that is. Uh. The spokesperson of the National Security Council John Kirby. Speaking this, uh, uh, He suggests that the Houthis are conducting a concerted effort to go after Merchant shipping in the Red Sea as he speaks to reporters.
This has been going on for a while now though, so we know that uh, we have Uh Bloomberg intelligence suggesting that a premium is being added to crude. Recent attacks by Houthi Mil ANS in the Red Sea are driving an additional War risk premium for crude oil. With prices up 6% to two, we highs detours around South Africa add days to voyages and reduce Global inventories supporting higher near-term spot prices. The threat of long-term Supply disruptions and significant increases in oil and L& prices are unlikely though, as governments intervene along with of course the Fed's dovish Pivot which is creating a Tailwind for weaker Uh crude.
uh for now. but some people think that the Fed's doish pivot could actually accelerate demand for oil as, uh, as markets start recovering and strengthening. Straight chillaxin says here: us tax dollars going overseas has the side effect of military presence, which has the side effect of a strengthened dollar. An interesting comment there.
Uh, someone else here argues now imagine a magnet is supercharged with electricity to take out Electronics Yeah, I Guess there's an EMP debate over here. You know? Uh, Emps have already. Uh, like you can create an electromagnetic pulse by exploding certain types of warheads in the air for example, So you could explode a warhead over an area and the shell shock effect that comes out of this Warhead can have an EMP like effect on an area. Uh, however, targeted emps might be. Yeah, still still a ways out. Uh, worth noting that Now by the way, if you follow on. X For example: Lily Fans's comment here: I can actually throw Streamyard comments up on Streamyard from X right now, which is very cool. So if you have not yet checked out Streamyard, they are a great sponsor of the channel.
Streamyard, go to Metkevin.com Streamyard to learn more about them. Metkevin.com Streamyard they're my zoom replacement. I Hate Zoom I Think Streamyard is way better. They're so great for multistreaming as well to different platforms, so that's a quick sort of breaking.
update I Wanted to share that with everybody. That's what I've got for this. Appreciate you if you haven't seen the House Hack Valy ation update yet, go check it out. hint hint Are we talking doubles here so we'll see youall in the next one.
Leave me comments if you got questions on the house Channel Responding to basically all the comments over there and we'll see you soon folks. Thanks for watching! Really appreciate y'all and always remember just close the door, close the door.
The Houthis were labeled has a terrorist organization however, when Biden got into office he removed that label. Note: Iran is supporting the Houthis and supplying them most of the weapons! And Biden is supplying the Billions of Dollars to Iran! We need Trump!
Is Bloomberg really intelligent though?
EMP's are real. All it is is a nuke detonated at a high alltitude.
US warships will go to the Black Sea. They are clearing mines in preparation. The war will expand quickly.
Kevin, when you said 'international coalition' did you refer to a few western countries or many countries in the world?
U.S. World Police is on the way.
We will never know the REAL REASON 🤔🤫.
“International outcry”
So what. Those people are already toxic. Ignore them. Deal with the problem. Focus.
They're already there.
TRUMP 2024 REVOLUTIONIZE!!!
I wonder if this will push the price of oil higher and result in even more inflation?
I am pretty sure that UAE has signed an agreement with China to protect their exports starting Jan.1 2024.
As usual USA😂 "we just want to help and bring a justice" BTW I am from Ukraine and when the shity story began in 2013 with my country, USA supplied so much money to stimulate people to create a mess, civilian war therefore change our president who didn't want to have close relationships with EU and NATO but of course nobody say about it and of course they didn't expect consequence and messed up with Russia🤷🏼♂️🤣 My father worked for America's government to spread those money that was supplied, so in case I know another view on that whole situation🤷🏼♂️ Who knows… I hope one day they open up a truth and whole reason why the war started in 2014 and never ended since those days
Democrat war ships.
Free Palestine from infidels and evil aggression
Stop the Genocide and ending the war Gaza, will make things back to normal and stability. That easy!
Is this the group Alex Jones mentioned in his recent Tucker Carlson interview?
Even if Western naval ships can defend against Houthi attacks, it does not fully eliminate the danger for vessels in the area.
No ship wants to navigate through rocket attacks and air defense interceptions.
Securing this region may necessitate the landing of troops on Yemen's coast.
This is a complex situation that is growing increasingly complicated.
At some point, the world will have to choose between disrupted trade routes and increased prices or Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Currently, the decision is to try and stop the Houthis.
But if halting the Houthis proves challenging, pressuring Israel for a ceasefire may become the preferred option.
It is unclear how capable the Houthis may be or how far the West is willing to go in Yemen.
But one thing is certain: the Western world has lost all credibility, going above and beyond in its attempts to defend Israel’s genocide in Gaza
Dude stick to your shitty price predictions! Leave the politics to the pro
Thats terrible! Well, anyways….
Living in the Black Ops 2 campaign IRL
Marry that with the Panama Canal crisis, yep things aren't great
😂😂😂
Darn maybe one more war before the war with China
Hard to import deflation when you can’t import freely and cheaply
If US sanctioned Israel for their war crimes like Russia then this wouldn't have happened. This is totally US fault.
