Guys great podcast. Blowing an account is down 30% or more though. Like $30K on a $100K account or more. At least! $1K might be a blowup for a $2K account.
Thanks Stephen and Tim! Great podcast to start Season 3
Thanks guys… 🙂
blowing up an account is not losing 1,000 …… unless you are homeless….. blowing an account is losing significant amount of investment capital that requires you to step away from trading for a significant period in order to save up capital again in order to get back into trading…… like having a net worth of 50k and blowing 40 k in trading….. that's blowing an account….
Good Lessons, Thanks Guys!!
man I love your podcast with steven.your both very funny love it and educating. really looking foreword to learn from you tim .
Awesome podcast!!! Towards the end, thamkfully the blown up account was made all back with $600 win on a short?? Would you mind advising in where or how this was possible(Broker?) without the 25k requirement?
Tim B just reduces Stephen to ashes lol…in the the most loving way of course 😂
why not blow up a paper trade account
Traders anonymous sounds like it would be a popular business… haha. Anyway thanks for the podcast, these are helpful!
Happy to come across your podcast! I can totally relate!
Great stuff!! That wife leaving for your best friend hit a little close to home for me. But very good reference. The irony (take a drink) of how that relates to me should actually help me avoid bag holding and going against my bread and butter setups. KEEP IT STEADY GUYS!!
Great video ! , what broker do you recommend for shorting? And can you guys make a podcast with Tim Grittani in the future ?
This podcast is really helpful!! Thank you guys
You talk about shorting stocks like you just short whatever you want. I have accounts with two brokers, and I’ve never had stocks to short..ever..in the last three months. So I buy morning spikers and afternoon runs into close.
Best outro yet that was pretty funny.
And can’t forget $intv, was holding 5000 shares at .44. Waited forever, got a little bump and sold for $1500 profit. Then it ran to $6s and would’ve been $25,000 profit.. idea was right, timing was wrong. Burns.
Man, I’ve had some tough times. Had a stock turn around on me .02 below my stop and ran for $1000 profit after. Today again playing $mysz did nothing but burn through $300 in commissions. Talk about overtrading from “anticipating” the break of resistance.. wiped out my “profits”.
Damnit Stephen you trade our markets but can't speak our language. Great episode guys!
Hmmmm when stefen shorts we buy? He looses I win?🤔
All I saw is that when Steven was speculating and changing his plan, he didn't define his stop loss. He couldn't cut losses quickly because of being emotionally involved, and he ended up losing 1000 dollars. Even if it's a setup you misread, stop loss will prevent you from blowing up an account and losing even more. I think it's even more crucial (if that's even possible) that you follow your stop loss in setups you have never traded before.
Wash rinse and repeat
LMFA sexy and i know it hahahahaahhhahaahah
I'm in the same time zone as you right now Stephen. I know the feeling.
You'll make a great profitable trader soon Stephen. Love hearing you guys.
