Hey guys, great webinar. Can you tell me what the "Swizzle" is?
I think if someone is going to be trading in a niche or a specific exchange like how DOM was glued to OTC, it's important to keep track of big national and international events, and even the events of what is happening with the biggest caps on our exchanges because they can foreshadow where the speculators are moving to next. I guess one thing I ask myself when I'm considering indicators before a trade is, is this relevant to whats hot(reasoning/catalyst)? How long has been this been hot(reasoning)? Is mainstream still reporting or discussing things relevant to this company's products and what big events are coming or are going on with the mega caps? Like it came out that Tesla was going on a shopping spree for battery materials etc. Then the dark corners of the energy sector, which was already so beaten down just exploded (like WWR). It's easier to stay consistent when you follow the crowd in pennyland and your patterns are there at the same time in the presence of volume and hype. Technical plays and momentum news plays in an irrelevant sector/company are the riskiest especially when all the money is over speculating sectors that were literally freezing and then overnight boiling hot. The biggest problem I've personally see with the traders that make it and get a following and become really successful is that they use their success as an excuse to not be so strict on their trades and they overtrade and even more dangerously as an excuse to not learn as much(like DOM said). And with all that comes from loss of humbleness, when the humbleness as a beginner was something that was working for them and keeping their head level. From their mistakes I know I'm going to watch Tim's webinars and his DVDs over and over as long as he makes them and as long as I live because you can never stop learning in this career, and start every trading day from 0 and every week from scratch. And realtime screen time and watching Level 2 and tape is the most underrated form of studying ever, no one really mentions that.
