This is just wrong. A Harami should open with a gap and and the entire candle should be included within the BODY of the previous candle.

Harami is inside bar after a larger candle.. question:

    1. The inside bar that you mean, is it the BODY candle only or we should include the TAIL itself to be inside a larger candle?

    2. For the larger candle, the bar itself should be inside the BODY candle of the larger candle or it could be inside the TAIL of the larger candle?

DARK CLOUD COVER may or may not lead to volatility expansion while HARAMI leads to volatility expansion and its size is usually smaller than dark cloud cover

Hello Rayner, on 2nd example how exactly the red candle is "inside" the previous red candle? I mean the 2nd one is smaller than the 1st. Thanks for the useful videos man! Keep up the great work.

It's considered Dark Cloud cover candle if the second candle was closed 50% or bellow the first candle, isn't it?

    Hi Sir Rayner!

You showed an example of Harami with a big green and a small red.

For it to be considered Harami, should it meet the following:
    1. The closing price of previous candle should be the same with opening price of current candle?
    2. Should it always need a big green and small red? Or can be alternated? What could be the interpretation for the other?
    3. Should the body be less than 50% of the body of the previous candle?

    Looking forward to your advise.

    Thank you in advance! 🙂
