Hey rick! If I sell, then buy.. then wait the next day.. is that a day trade? You can only do 3 within 5 Business days but Some told me this is how you beat it.. is this true?

You are so vague.
i have had a penny stock (IPCIF) go from my (just under) $.32/4,800 shares buy-in, get de-listed and drop to $.15, at one point. so, how much did i lose? i lost nothing, as i held onto it for a month and a half, and watched it come all the way back to $.36. i had set my sell limit at $.32, so i walked with $24.97.
i have casually watched all of the stocks that i have previously traded (all for profit, except for ABIO–my one loss–which is $15), and all but one has come back to the price i bought and beyond, following a dip.
unless a stock drops to $.00 and the company dissolves, you only lose if you sell.
now, i have only been trading occasionally for 3 months, but i have taken my account from $19.5k up to $29.4k. my biggest takeaways, and best advice for new traders…? be patient when buying and set a price range…and ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS use limit orders to buy and sell. i recently got stung by $.04 on a market order purchase, which cost me more than double my FLKS $150 profit. oh, and getting back to that $15 loss…i used a market order to sell, so instead of making a quick $60, the stocked took a small dip, and i sold for a tiny fraction of a penny below my $.334 buy-in price. i feel very, very fortunate to have learned extremely valuable lessons while still profiting on the above trades.
beyond what i have mentioned above, another thing that i would highly recommend is grasping the day trading rules, as i have gotten dinged once and likely cost myself chances to sell same-day at much higher profit than what i actually realized on a few stocks (IPCIF, included).
