Let say, i have Margin Account and above 25K in my account. If I made 5 day trades in 5 day period will it settle instantly Or Will it takes time to settle after 3rd day trade?

One thing he does not go over is the interest rate that you are borrowing to trade from your margin acct. To give you guys a heads up especially a new trader or your a person who is on the losing trades side this will effect your acct! You have to be a profitable trader to cover your margin account interest rate and also paying back the borrowing amount of money that you used to buy into the stock. It adds up quick! I am getting out of my margin acct for time being till i have good streak in profitable trading.

If you have stock that you bought the previous day or before and you sell it and buy it same day, that doesnโt count as a day trade. On the other hand buying and selling same day is a day trade.
Hey Ricky I was wondering if you could talk about this and explain the difference in stock trading and options trading. I have a small account and am slave to the pdt rule. This looks like a possible way to bypass the rule.
So let me see if I understand this correctly….
Margin account = 3 trades of the same stock per day, or is it 3 trades of the same stock per week?
Cash = unlimited trades per week if the cash is available in the account?
Hey Ricky, is possible to get a margin call if you are trading from a cash account only?
I got Good Faith Violations by fidelity, because I was using cash account and I wasn't know about it. So I was waiting two to three days for my cash being settled. Because of that I wasn't able to do day trade. I called them a s explained; they said you have to open margin account. However, I got penalty for 3 months before I can change my account, so I'm I still waiting until this gone.
Thank you Ricky, my question is once you change to Cash Account, can latter go back to Instant Account?
