I just don't get it. What would ever make you bet against a company?
Don't you lose money when you short sell?
You can place stop losses on short sells though can you not?
*edit: Not a stop loss so to speak but a buy-stop order which in essence works the same way, right? Is it just essential the chart gets flipped upside down?
you seem pretty relaxed in this video
Is there a reason no one ever explains exactly HOW to borrow stock from the broker?
Where does your money come from. Like who loses the bet and pays you the money
He got triceps from repping them market haha🔥
I feel like not all stocks are eligible to be shorted. Is that true?
First time short selling I lost $1300, few months later I'm making profit on average 6-8K a month because I'm very carefully of the stocks I pick and I do my homework and I know what works.
Can the broker request the loaned shares back at any time?
Hey Ricky ….. can you short sell stocks on TD Ameritrade with a play money account just to practice risk free ?
Use webull for shorting. Free commissions like robinhood. Thank me later 😄
Okay i see them guns!! Yeeeeez
1-You Borrow 1 stock/share from a broker (E-Trade, or sinkorswim etc..) the value of that stock is $1.
9Am time when you borrowed it.
2- Then you sell it right a way to some buyer for $1 at 9:01am time. Now you got one dollar in your pocket.
3- You wait until the stock goes down in value to 50 cents, at
10 am time.
Then you use 50 cents from the $1 you have from the previous sell, to buy the same stock.
4- Since your broker borrowed you a stock, not money. They only want the stock back (if I borrow you my Tesla model S, I don't expect you to bring me the price of the car back. I just expect my car back regardless if it lost value or not)
So you give the brocker the stock back.
And your profit is?
Sweet 50 cents… uuuuh yeah baby! now you can go buy some
50 cents Chester hot fries at the gas station.
Multiply that by a thousand and??
You become very fat from the goddamn chips!
What brokers allow you to short sell and how do u actually do it on the website
Something I haven’t found yet about short selling. Once you buy your short, the price falls and you go to sell it and take the profit. Do you then own the stock and have to physically sell the shares again to be liquid? Or is it just a transaction and once you take your profit from the sale your out of it like a normal trade?
Nice video but I couldn't keep my eyes off your triceps…nice
Mind e-mailing me Ricky? I dont have social media.
nice hat I live in Arizona and it's like a living hell but hey I'm only 15 trading stocks 😉
Can I do short selling on Thinkorswim platform?
New to your Chanel and maybe you did a more detailed one since this last video .. I’ll check .. but my question is ..
can we do short selling on Robinhood? Or do i need a paying trader thingie ?
Would you please go more in depth about the mechanics of shorting a stock. I read about an investor that made money during the Great Depression of '29 by shorting. Please tell me more.
Corvettes aren’t supercars
I am a very visual person could you make a video explaining visually maybe on a chart ?
I wish Robinhood had that method
Perfect video. Broken down perfectly. Thank you Ricky
Dude i can see that you are really genuine in helping people like us who are beginners. You will definitely gain good karma in the future.
Hey, it's Deadmau5!
OHHH!!! So, short selling stocks is kind of like a credit line, you are bidding it will go lower than $2 dollars per share making you gain the money when you sell out, or the price could sky rockets and you now are in debt because you have to purchase the other portion of the stock in order to own it? Am I understanding this right???
Why are you wearing a Turo Shirt? Do you lend out your cars for additional cash?
Get your point across with fewer words and a slower delivery.
THE GUNS
Thanks for the video. I have a question. Lets say the price direction is going against you very rapidly. How to buy cover quickly out of short sell to minimize loss?
