The reason why I want to start online trading so I can leave my job which Retail. The pay is alright but I don't like to deal with custumers, thiefs, managers, co workers, my boss, venders, restocking, cleaning up after people's mess and so on. And also want to move out of my family's house and away from society for a while. So the question is will Online Trading be a way out or will it help achieve my goals? That's Why I'm Using Think or Swim to paper trade. I don't know which road or path will get me there (my goals). In life it's always better to try new things instead of not trying at all.
I want to Learn because I am interested in making successful trades. Even if it is with paper money. I just want to learn how it works, understand what is happening and why it is happening, and if I can make a profession out of it, a full time career then great. But I like learning and this is challenging which will keep me interested in it for a long time.
The dream of making it a full time job is my motivation to get started, but not my reason why I want to be doing it. I want to succeed and I want to succeed at this. So soon you will be educating me. I have a full time job which pays my house/bills etc. Making extra money is just a bonus in something I have been interested in for years. Just never knew where to begin!
I like analysis, studying, researching and using a computer. So why not combine it into an interest of mine and try making money off it later on.
If you believe there is a recipe for making money without ever losing some of it, then you are deluded.
The point of investing is finding ways NOT TO LOSE too much money alongside making some of it.
Ain't nobody ever gonna get "wealthy" by trading (aka dabbling/gambling on stockmarkets).

Ricky, well said, absolutely right, mi hijito. Keep up the good work. I'm retired and make a lot more money on my savings accounts than I do on stock trading. Trading is low stress and fun for me & has more profit potential. My goal for 2020 is to increase my position sizes as I become more consistently profitable & make more money trading than in savings accounts. I don't paper trade–no skin in the game. Becoming consistently profitable will be a challenge. Ricky, keep that great smile for 2020. It's contagious! Thanks for sharing.

There is a difference between investing and trading which is more like gambling your money.

For the beginners I think the best strategy is to pick 2-3 amazing companies which you believe in (AMD, Apple, FB, MU, NVDA) and buy the dips. You'll make money in a year. Ofc that's not day trading but you'll make money. That's more like investing.
Always know that in whatever you do or put your mind to you will achieve it with focus, consistency and direction, get expert counsel from a professional.

I'd like to know what you think about trading options
I want to make $100 into $200. I think if I can keep learning and manage to reach my goal, I will have $200 eventually to make into $400. Sure I can dump my savings account on this hobbie, but whats the point if you dont learn. Knowledge is life.

Great advice Ricky. Trading wasn't your only source of income when you left your telecomm job to day trade full-time. You must have calculated your incoming revenue and living expenses and became confident you had enough revenue sources not worry about having to make a certain amount of money trading and approach day trading as a learning process.
How do you notice a trend breaking/starting before its completely noticeable?
