Can’t find the custom average true range study

I've made a similar indicator with ninjatrader and applied it to ES (miniSP500). I use it with another indicator that tracks the adding daily volume comparing it with the average volume in a given moment of the day to see if there is room for a movement up or down (in ES the higher the volume the greater the movement expecially downward). I split the day in various slot (asian session, london opening, NY opening, lunch time, etc) and apply this concept on each of them, tracking also the movement of bond and vix to gauge the strenght of the direction in the SP. So if a stocks ATR is 10 dollars, it can go up and down 1 dollar 10 times or 5 dollars up and then 5 $ down ?
Then how this indicator can be useful ?
How does it handle reversals? (I'll test it. But just asking for people that trade more volatile stocks that tend to not stay directional.)

lol what a joke. the average doesn't mean it's going to hit it or close to it – it's gonna be above average for half of the days and below average for the rest (assuming normal distribution). and more than that in 20-50% of cases it's gonna be way below or above. so assuming this "red light" gibberish you are effectively robbing youself of opportunities in days with biggest movements.

See, I come from Forex so it is a completely different kettle of fish and I am relatively unaware of intraday trading when it comes to equities. However, my best advice to anyone who answers this question is this: you won't know. The best attitude to have when trading is always to focus on the fact that failure is likely and you cannot predict the future. If you come from a perspective of 'if failure is likely, how can I make the failure less significant to my equity', then you'll be more successful than thinking 'how can I make the most money?' I hope this makes sense and thanks for the great content. 🙂

What the heck man this has nothing to do with how much will a stock go up or down this whole video.
Also on this channel I see loads of video's making 2000$ making x$,.. but never talks about why stock market goes up, that we are in a bubble now, what will happen if we enter a deflation how we will and why we will. Talking about buying boeing is good for long term clearly a statement of someone that knows nothing about fundamentals of markets and effects. Just trading candlesticks wow.. real investors just read newspaper and buy or sell with 100% win ratio, not watching computer whole days, not caring about how much it returns a day because returns are exponantial.

ATR was one of the first indicators I ever learned. After a while you'll be able to tell what the ATR is without it
