It is poor that Uber cant be profitable. Cabbies have been ripping us off for years now and who would not want to go against those bandits? Was just in Vegas and the Uber drivers go right to the front at the Hotel liens as the cabbies sit in a 1st come line. How did this happen? Well because nobody want to use a drugged out cabbie. One of the Uber drivers I spoke with told me that the reason most cabbies do not go Uber is because they are degenerate gamblers or worse and cannot afford a car or a decent car and are just plain lazy. Interesting. Nice video.

For companies like Uber and lyft, going public isn't to raise cash for expansion, it's to give early investors the ability to cash out. In ubers case, it's very much an important thing as they've been privately funded for a very long time and those folks are getting extremely impatient. So they foist this pos on the public. And you know what they say… There's a sucker born every minute.

What a shit company. Signed up with these jackasses to drive Uber and my first run they put me on was Uber Eats which I had not signed up for. Of course the app did not work but when I called Uber all I got was shit attitude from some foreign hag on the other end. I said screw it who needs the aggravation. The best thing to do with this company in my humble opinion is to short it and that's not financial advice just common sense from where I stand.
Wouldn't be surprised if uber opens and it squeezed for multiple days. Look at how Lyft got pumped up and they dumped it. Uber is getting the opposite treatment and every1 and their grandma are gonna be shorting it. Perfect time to take some dumb money. Keep ur eyes on the price action and yesterday hi's and low because either way its gonna be a wild ride

Good advice. I never invest in IPO stocks. Too risky at he beginning because of the hype.
Its incredibly hard to find shares to short IPO's, possibly expensive …options are not available for weeks after IPO.
How long do you have to wait until you can short a ipo?

Lyft is the exact same I drive for them and we did get yet another wage cut right before the IPO. When you make negative money, what should you do? Lower prices, of course! If they don't get it together we'll be back to taking taxis again with shady Ukrainian drivers
