I have both cards. CSP kills AMEX Gold on car rental coverage and for use overseas. I will always keep my CSP.
Would it be a good idea to use the Citi DC card for everything else with the amex gold?
Just get sapphire reserve card
But UR POINTS WORTH MORE THAN MR POINTS UR PORTAL IS WAY BETTER THAN AMEX !!!!!!! Do video on points value why have points that’s not worth much ????
i have both these cards as well, i am thinking about downgrading the CSP to the Sapphire after the first year is over, now that the AMEX gold has stepped up the multipliers. I originally got the CSP for the primary CDW.
Too many things in Amex Gold's favor.
1) 4x on resturants in the USA.
2) 4x on USA groceries stores capped at 2,083 per month ($25,000 annually).
3) $75 Hotel Collection credit after 2 consecutive night stays.
4) Amex special offers where a card holder can earn between 20k to 80k MR points in a year if used frequently.
5) $100 airline credit for one airline per calender year.
6) $10 monthly food credit through Grubhub or Cheescake Factory.
7) 3x on Airline purchases directly with Airlines or their websites.

I have both cards and I’m thinking of getting rid of the sapphire and I already have the unlimited freedom. So it just makes sense. Chase is also very stingy with CLI’s. A hard pull just for an increase is ridiculous. Great video !
