Do you want to know something that really scares me?
33.3% of people will watch the Super Bowl ... yet only 40% of people will make their lives better by setting goals.
What's even scarier about this statistic, is that of the 40% only 8% will actually follow through. Wow!
What the 32% of people who don't follow through on their goals have is something I call..."EXCUSE-ITIS". You may know someone with this success-stalling disease...read on to learn the symptoms and prescription for getting rid of it.
QUESTION OF THE DAY! What was your resolution and what was the most important behavioral change?

Biggest takeaway – 1) Every year only 40% of Americans set a goal and only 8% follow through 2) Align your behavior with your commitment 3) Your behavior has to align with your goals. 4) Don't take on too much, start small "Do the thing have the power" Emerson 5) What 1,2,3 new behaviors are you going to work on to align you with your goal? 6) Change your mindset, change your life(The Slight Edge, Jeff Olson, book) Read 10 pages a day

Hi Tom! Love the info. Been listening to positive podcasts for the last 90 days (ziglar, entrepreneurs on fire, & super agents live) what a difference in mindset it has made.(along with the Tom Ferry show of course). Big goals for 2016! Action plan in place, never been so focused!

    Hey Tom!

First of all, excellent show, you nailed it and captured my full attention the whole time. Your energy is so powerful that it could be transmitted through your video. Good job!

To begin with,I'm a new agent in Singapore, realistically speaking, market is really slow and transaction volumes has halved from 2013, prices are on the bottom low and demands for housing is low due to policies the govt enforces. But I still left my salaried job for this industry because that doesn't mean that there are no transactions or business to be made. My goal is close a deal as soon as I'm officially licensed, which is in 2 weeks or so. In order to survive, I need to close a deal by the 8th month from the day I start based on my capital and my monthly expenses before I run out of funds.

In order to do that, as I am fresh, I am doing alot of research and self study to make myself feel more confident and knowledgeable before I start speaking to prospect. But one problem is, I know my drive is strong and I'm hungry for the success, however, I don't feel the same everyday, the studies are intermittent because topics and contents could be very dry. But there will be days when I feel so good and excited to be studying and researching. And inevitably, there will be days where I feel so restless and I feel like I need something to boost me up. I do my research and studies mostly at home, and I'm in the same environment everyday as of now. Do you think that could be the cause of it? And also lastly, what will be the number 1 rule or tip you will be always be giving to a new agent like myself. I'm dying and I would do anything to crush this industry?

I would also like to say, I have totally transited into a new form of lifestyle from my previous which is lifestyle that will probably not be in line for someone who wants to be a successful real estate agent! It has been a good 4months into this lifestyle, it's consistent too. Not very long, but I feel a major change in my lifestyle from my point of view.

Apologies for the "comment" length! Haha but thanks, I hope to hear Smth from you! Good day!

Luv the videos, always hit home. Biggest resolution is to let go of being a slave to work, learn to take a day off, and have an actual vacation. Last week a friend called and said we should go to Costa Rica for a few days, we can sleep on her cousin's couch. Usually I hedge anticipating some imaginary crisis that I'll have to resolve. This time I said yes to getting to the trip, no to sleeping on the cousin's couch. It's -13 in Minnesota, and 86/sunny in Liberia Costa Rica where I'm responding to today's video on my laptop. it's a relief not to haver wifi 24/7 for a teeny tiny bit
Yes, we all perform better when we feel better. Fresh ideas come more easily when we are relaxed.

Great, inspiring video! I try to have 10 conversations with my database everyday day and read 10 pages of a business or personal growth book. Now, my big goal is 1 appointment per day!

I'm a new agent. My resolution was to have my first deal close by the end of February. 2 deals by the end of March and to double my closings every month until December 2016.

my behavior is to focus, avoid distraction and complete the tasks.

tasks would be, call leads, generated or cold until I have an appointment. turn the appointment into an exclusive agency agreement (buyer or seller) and provide excellent service till the end.

I really have no idea what I'm doing, (new realtor and all) I just want to work and be an excellent successful agent. I'm willing to work.
