Lordstown Motors CEO, Steve Burns, did something incredible, he got Vice President Mike Pence and President, Donald Trump to publicly endorse his company's new fully electric Endurance pickup truck. However, when I see politicians endorsing private companies, my BS sensor goes off faster than a Nikola Truck can roll down the hill. In this video we will expose some of the alleged lies around Lordstown Motors, and will pose some difficult questions to its founder and CEO, Steve Burns. We will perform a DCF valuation of Lordstwon and will check how realistic are the company's claims around profitability and production timeline.

Letโs not be biased. The vehicle is up for truck or the year and in production.
Nash was right!
Har Har Har Har…
8 months later! $12 is to high! But you hit the nail on the head! RIDE trading at $9.48
round of applause for Tom… fast forward to 06/14/21 and our boy Steve Burns is ousted as CEO along with the CFO ๐๐คฃ
Why you treat me like animal Eddie?
Damn bro was way ahead of this curve
Thanks to your insight and the knowledge of hub motors not being rugged enough for a real truck I dipped out of this after watching your video. You are providing real life convo! Thanks!
Very good calculation
There is a lot of farm machinery that is drove with wheel motors they are hyd. motors. There is company about 5 to 7 years ago started converting them to electric wheel motors. These motors are driving wheels that have a 46 inch tall by 20 inch wide tire they run in all kind of conditions mud , water, etc. they work. So what they are doing works question is not will it work only did they build them heavy enough for the application. As to the equipment in the factory some question its condition if you buy it cheap enough it can be repaired if its to far gone then you replace it its a chance that i would take that a big portion of the equipment is still in working order on a purchase like this i would have a very good idea before i wrote the check. As far as the bad reports a person needs to keep in mind if your in to short selling stocks i would want all the bad reports i could get so i could get the stock to crash just something to think about before you take any reports as gospel. No matter who wrote them.
I find it interesting that premarket is only down 16%. Perhaps it will take a few weeks to sink in …
All these comments trashing Tom about this video havenโt aged too well. Allegedly, blah blah ๐
Well this aged well, lol.
Soon as I saw Trump endorse this project I knew it was a scam.
Your predicted this 5 months ago
anyone here after the new Heidelberg report?
This video will age horrilby
Apples & oranges.
Lol how many fleet cars does Tesla sell? How many value cars does Tesla sell? Try to research more before doing videos
Tom you are spot on! This truckโs drivetrain sucks and the truck is going to suck! A lot of hype
You totally blew it blah blah blah. The hub motor design is what has the potential make this go. A true 4 wheel drive truck unlike cyber truck or any ICE truck on the road. Innovative disruption blah blah blah.
I bought a speculative 500 shares at 13$ still holding.
They partnered with GM and workshore
Lordstown already have a plant also GM is building a battery manufacturing factory in the same city i see it happening by 2022
Youโre analysis is exceptionally flawed. The vehicle is in existence as well as it performs exceptionally well.
Youโre comparing the ramp up to TSLA. Not appropriate. Telsa had to develop the cars and design and build a unique factory. RIDE has a major advantage with starting out with an equipped factory soup to nuts. A reconfigure is simpler than getting permits and breaking ground. Also remember all the estimated milestones Elon missed. Does 1 million robotaxis by the end of 2020 ring any bells? Elon made me a millionaire. RIDE will help to double it!๐
Your gonna eat your own words when the price goes to $200
To compare to NKLA is, I think, unfair.
The reality for tesla in 2014 and reality for new electric vehicles in 2021 is completely different. People's mindset changed a lot in this years.
By 2024 100K Truck sell is not impossible, but they need to be futuristic and load with godets for 52k truck.
Ride and wkhs ain't for the weak hands !!! Stay true to what you believe in and let's get $$$. I'ma laugh all they way to the ๐ฆ
You have good points, but you can't compare Lordstown with Tesla, because:
– Tesla is a pioneer, and pioneers spend the most time / money on R&D, so now copycats can reap their rewards, with less money and in less time
– Lordstown is not a luxury, high tech, self driving, fancy car. It's a pickup truck that's made for fleets and hauling stuff.
– Lordstown is starting off with a manufacturing plant they got from GM, which is an "unfair" advantage to any "Silicon Valley" tech company that wants to make cars.
– If Lordstown ends up selling the car for 50k, they will have huge success, because they're priced the same as regular pickup trucks, not a lot more, so people that already have 50k to spend on a gas pickup can just change their mind and not spend extra cash.
I think they are aiming for a low-tech truckโbasically todayโs standard truck minus the combustion engine, exhaust system and gasoline tank, but with electric propulsion: hub motors and a battery. Everything remains the same. This product could appeal to the tech-adverse folks out there, and be able to leverage much of the factory equipment and (re)hire lower-wage uneducated workers. Thatโs how the business model might work out for them.
This is such bullshit
Unfortunately companies arenโt valued based on your analysis anymore. There are plenty of losing money companies that have high over the top valuations and plenty of companies that are profitable that are undervalued.
your staffing figures r wrong, sorry, u need to check it out again
The GM factory was producing Chevy Cruze gas engines cars. Can they just flip the switch and turn out ev trucks on that line? Secondly, GM knew they were divesting that plant, so when would they have last upgraded line equipment? Thirdly, how will they compete with ev truck manufacturer with a new plant designed especially to manufacture ev trucks. They tout the GM factory as an asset. I wonder about that.
I didn't need to know any financial analysis to know this is going nowhere. They have no technology. Those in-wheel motors can't work unless these trucks are going to be on smooth roads with no moisture/salt.
Whenever I see a startup touting certain "technologies" like fuel cells, solid state batteries, warp drive, etc., I know they are fake. Certain hot buzz words seem to be trending now in the SPAC space. Don't fall for it, talk to an engineer.
