And besides that…that’s all I spend money on!
So if you want the actual personal CASHFLOW coming out of my account every month, without counting mortgage equity, car equity, or write offs…this is just the gross amount leaving my account, including rental income on the other unit, then I spend:
$3,353 every single month on everything in terms of CASHFLOW.
However, when you look at my NET cost every month - this is when you account for mortgage and car equity, write offs, depreciation, money I get back at the end of the year, and so on, I spend on average of:
$1501 per month NET on my personal expenses, cost of living, food, utilities, gym, phone, etc.
My business expenses, on the other hand, are expenses that I KNOW will make me more money. What I spend here really varies and for the most part, it’s entirely discretionary.
That’s how I like to run things…I don’t like having high overhead, and the less financial obligation I have, the better.
I just like not NEEDING to spend money every month just to keep things running, and that in turn, means less stress for me, which means I can produce content much easier, I’m more “Free” to talk about whatever, and that benefits YOU because I’m not some huge company just motivated to stay afloat on expenses. Which oddly enough, usually just means I’ll end up making more money because of that…so it’s a weird cycle. The less you need money, the more you make because you aren’t doing things just for the money…and the more creative you tend to be.

Random Question – would it be an investment if I spent 1/4 of my income on personal training/dance classes? not for a specific goal as of today but might be in 5-10 yrs.
Also do you pay taxes?
What???? You only spend $120 for ALL utilities???? Like water? Garbage? You pee outside?
Graham – though you may never see these words – you have inspired me to really care about my money and financial picture. I am indebted to you for this. So, thank you! and cheers!
I’m really happy that I got to the point where I too can decide that I wanna go to Vegas any time.
I live in Las Vegas.
If you make $168K a year, you can afford to buy more sustainably than H&M…..
I am a bit curious about something. Yes, the Tesla may have been free. However, is not the car insurance for a Tesla as well as maintenance costs more expensive that a regular vehicle. I am just saying. =)
Who you saving for tho? Early retirement?
Nicely done!
The more videos I watch of yours, the more I notice you look like a young Elon Musk; and I can't un-see it.
If you want to save more money pork is cheaper the chicken or salmon most of the time
Could you do a visit on good charities that invest and use dividends? I would like to share the things I have been blessed with. Also, try better quality shirts and jeans. They will last for years and not disintegrate/sag
It's all about saving until you get married ring alone lol
@grahamstephan I'm wondering if you would ever make a video on a person that works as a hair stylist/barber making barely over $26,000 a year in Texas. Originally from Cali and have worked for the same company w/ higher wages, yet I couldn't ever reach $24000 a year living in CA. Of course this is due to Cali's expensive taxes and inflation. Might be interesting to see what can be done to stretch a significantly smaller yearly gross for people in this bracket.
U mustn’t have a social life… I am all for the living within means.. but I’m also into living!
What is your opinion on life insurance? Would love to hear your opinion on this.

Dude! Your haircut is more expensive than your rent! 💸

Where do you get health insurance from?
this dude has 168k a month, invests and saves about 165k of that…ow that is a lot
It's great making $160K a month probably closer to $200K now nearly 17 months later but if you keep your spending the same, your reinvesting everything else to make more money which you'll reinvest to make even more money and so on. Your only 30 and worth $10 Million so when your 64 retiring you could be worth up to $30 – $50 Million or more but still spend the exact same amount just because you want to make even more. What's the point of making all this money if your not enjoying spending it? You'll be the richest man in the graveyard.
bro. just the delivery charge for gas is 75 dollars(which means if you use no gas what so ever in a month, youll still pay 75 bucks) deliver for hydro is 36/month so works same way as gas, water deliver is 60 dollars every 2 months. my total utilities/month is around 600 bucks, 100-180 for gas (depending on time of year) around 250 every 2 months for water, 200-250/month for electricity.
edit: and you wanna know whats stupid, even if you own a property that is vacant with the water turned off and electricity turned off, its illigal in my city to NOT HAVE WATER and HYDRO services which mean even if you wanted to close the acc for a few months while you reno or w/e you cant…..
What a great message about happiness at the end. I am simple like that too xx
Grahams mentality will get him to a billion
Just a thought. Would be nice if you bought clothes made by people which earn an actual living wage. So avoiding H&M would be a great start! I'm sure there are really interesting local designers in LA that would love working with you.
What exactly are you saving for? Like I get that it's great to be frugal and all but when will you stop being like you are now? Is there a specific goal or something?
Thanks Graham I have learned a lot from you – Also, so true happiness does not come from spending more
