Robinhood has JUST announced that they will FINALLY be introducing FRACTIONAL SHARES. Not only that, but they’re ALSO going to be allowing RECURRING INVESTMENTS and DRIP, which stands for DIVIDEND RE-INVESTMENT PLAN.
By allowing fractional shares and dividend re-investment, Robinhood can get people investing on their platform with MUCH less money - as little as $1, and that will open the door for so many people to invest in larger, more expensive stocks - like Google, Amazon, and Tesla…without needing to come up with the entire amount.
It also allows its users to get MUCH more diversification, and invest much more safety across various stocks - rather than tie up all their money within just a few. For example, instead of investing in Facebook with $200…you could literally go out there and spread your money across 20 DIFFERENT stocks, each for $10. That would give you a much broader return, and a much more stable investment - without as high of an initial cost.
And as for Robinhood…as good of a platform as they still are, I STILL think they’ve got a long way to improve. For example, WeBull has already announced that they’ve implemented a Roth IRA…and Robinhood has yet to do that. WeBull is also about to be offering FREE Options Trading…and, as of now, Robinhood has been charging $5 per month for the privilege of that, as well as with margin trading.
I’d also like to see Robinhood improve their customer service to the point where you can call in and speak to a live human being…and that’s a MAJOR advantage that Charles Schwab has. I also think Robinhood would benefit from getting this Cash Management account available as soon as possible…as well as partnering with a bank to open up their own Robinhood-branded Credit Card…preferably, with a sign up bonus.
But, overall…like I’ve said before…all of this is REALLY, REALLY good for you as the customer, and investing in fractional shares is a huge win in my books. The more these companies compete, the more they innovate, the more they all “Race to the bottom” - and ultimately, investing becomes cheaper and more easily accessible to even more people out there.

Great video Graham, nothing important to say just helping your algorithm out. Also once you fill up your max Robinhood Free stocks, I would love if you could link mine in your video as well so I could get a few? Even if just on a few video, that would be a big help during these hard times

Hey Graham, do your re-balance your retirement accounts each year? If so, how do you determine percent allocation to US stocks, bonds, and international stocks?

The problem with robinhood is this was announced at least 2 months ago and I’m still on a list to be able to use any of the new features (cash management, fractional shares, reinvest dividends). They seem to be a lot of talk and no action here recently

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Darvin Johnson says:

I'm getting a little annoyed waiting on Schwab to launch the feature. I switched from Folio mainly because Schwab was adding this and Fidelity & Robinhood have both already launched the feature.

I have a interest in the stock market and even played it back in the day but never got to the point where I could not just pull the plug and being a regular Joe with a simple checking and savings account. I believe that is called "dabbling in the stock market". In all honesty, I never really knew 100% what I was doing and sort of stared at all the "red" and "green" colored thingy's on the various graphs with a purple and white background. Anyways, I worked for what will soon be, due to a merger, the fifth largest bank in America, and thought about investing. Well, of course, I always been one to jump in the middle of the lake and then learn how to swim but this was some serious "sheet" (I don't cuss so deal with it) so I figured that just jumping in may not be a wise idea. With that in mind, I did a bit of homework… I guess, put my feet in the lake letting the fish nip at it first. After I felt I had a decent understanding, I opened a account with Scottrade which I felt had the cheapest trade fee at the time. I figured what better company to invest in than the one I work for… after all, I work in the vehicle loan department, I directly assist people making their payments on time which adds profit which adds to my stock price. Anyways, bought 16 shares of [bank] at $31.37 per share and it immediately plummeted like clockwork. Stayed that way for three years, the latter year I would joke with people I knew that "I know exactly how to get that stock to rise… for me to sell it at a loss". Well, after three years, yes, an entire three years of stock staying under $31.37, has gone by, I was told that my job was being outsourced to North Carolina and all jobs at my facility is going south of the border (I live in Virginia). I figured that it is time to see if the joke was on me. Sure enough, after three DAYS after I sold it, it went up above $31.37. I thought for sure there was some sort of conspiracy against me but come on, that is just foolish thinking, right? It's not like somebody, somewhere has anything better to do than to steal 16 shares of my very first stock purchase, is it?

Fidelity cash Management account has 0.86 APY and there credit card is 2% cash back. Robinhood should get a 2% cash back card.

Robinhood is the XFL of investing

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Constituency on KPFK Radio 90.7FM says:

Now Schwab follows others in offering free trades. TD Ameritrade is doing the same. The fine print: depends on the stock, OTC trades are still charged their regular trading fee. And now Schwab is in the process of buying TD, merger is scheduled to happen some time this year.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shilver101 says:

Wait you have to wait to buy fractional shares what kind of BS is that? I am over a million on that lame ass list,

I always have a ton of guilt now when I get a starbucks because of this guy. 😂 Honestly, I didn’t even realize how much my wife and I spent on coffee. I sat down and calculated it; it averaged out to $2200 a year for both of us. 😱 We have been brewing coffee at home and taking the money we save to add it to our our portfolios. Starbucks is a money pit! It’s great because we already contribute to savings and retirement, this coffee savings was a nice bump.

I think most people just have a fundamentally flawed view of it simply an agreed upon unit of exchange for goods and services? $ for a gallon of milk? Thirty bucks to cut your grass? or is it an intangible? Security or of is any of these things, depending on who or whatever situation you find yourself in hard reality is how much money we accumulate in life is not a function of who’s president or the economy or bubbles bursting or bad breaks or ’s about the American work ’s about bucking the media’s opinion as to what constitutes a good to miss the ball game, the play, the concert, because you’ve resolved to work and invest in your family’s is a big problem as most people don’t make enough to invest in their family’s future, they don’t even make enough to pay medical bills or solve a $5000 “investment” sounds like an Herculean task because people get scared and never seem to give it a want to make you all aware that with a small investment capital, you could be setting up a good cash flow and a good investment plan for your family’s a small investment capital, you can see yourself earning well over $7,500 weekly trading me i advice you multiply the little you have with James, i was able to make 7btc with in 3 weeks with James, reach him on telegram @therealjameschan or WhatsApp +16313544408
