Warrior Trading // Ross Cameron // Day Trade Warrior

What's up everyone? All right? Well here we are. Today is day Five of the Small Account Challenge Trading in TD Ameritrade It's my fifth day of trading in this account. No, that has not been five consecutive days. It's been span over the last couple weeks as I've taken a few days off.

I'm trading my main account retirement accounts. but thank you. This is the fifth day and another two hundred eighty two dollars of profit which is great Does that means Now in the last five days I have made and I believe this is day five enough to double check. It might be day six if it's day six.

Forgive me. But in any case, over the last five or six days I've made about a thousand dollars so the accounts grown from 2500 to 3500. The growth curve right now is kind of slow because I don't have a lot of money in the account I don't have margin I don't have leverage. It's a cash-only account so I can only trade with the cash I have so I've been averaging I guess around you know anywhere from 150 to 200 dollars a day and today's a little above that average.

So I'm happy with that and I'm gonna try to, you know, just keep growing this account. $5,000 is the first line in the sand that I really want to get to. So as always questions, comments, leave them down below. We'll see you guys for the next recap of the TD Ameritrade Small Count Challenge.

All right everyone, So we're gonna break down the trades from this morning today is I Believe this is day five of trading in my TD Ameritrade account for this small account challenge and the account is up today 282 dollars and five cents which is a great day. So now up to just about $3,500 about a thousand dollars of profit in this account. I haven't traded it for like five consecutive days I've been trading sometimes every other day I've had a couple back-to-back days but I've also taken a few days between trades. Just yesterday, for instance, I tried to take a trade and the order got rejected and it was really silly but ended up missing a great trade.

So you know sometimes that's gonna happen. And but today, a RNP was the the big winner in this account. This was on our watch list pre market. It was a gapping stock gapping up 42 percent.

Free Market currently has three point six million shares of volume. It only had about fifty or sixty thousand shares of volume pre market, so it was pretty thinly traded, which initially I was like I don't know if it's gonna work. it's interesting, but but we'll see it ends up actually opening and dipping down to low. Let's see, yeah the low is actually three eighty three.

then it pops up. it breaks through Four Twenty four twenty was the entry point a break in a free market Hot. I Didn't take that trade because I at the time wasn't sure it was going to work. It ripped through Four Twenty rights year and I bought this pullback right here.

So this is where I got in in my TD Ameritrade account I bought three hundred shares, then I added another two hundred and I added another 100 and I tried to add another 100 and my order was denied insufficient buying power I only have 49 dollars of buying power left - for today it ended up as you can see here, squeezing up to 661 I sold it as it was coming up to 6, I took the just under 50 cent win and I was happy with that. Generally speaking and the small count base hits are the way to go. So I took that base hit. As you can see, it ended up squeezing up to a high of 669, pull him back a little bit and then popping up here too high a day right now at Six Ninety-two Actually, yes, 692 is high a day, so a quick trade there.
This was in a span of about one minute or two minutes buying this pullback and let's see, it was actually a little astray and I actually held it for about four minutes. So it's like a four minute long trade buying here and then selling as it was squeezing. Done, so not too bad. I took my starter on this red candle and then I added down here at Five Ten.

So I took a starter, I added and I tried to add again as and curl back up. I got partial fills on one of the orders and then my orders were kind of all over the place. But then in case, 600 chairs, in and out. two hundred eighty two dollars and five cents of profit.

So you know it's nice to be on a little bit of a winning streak here in the TV account. I think I've actually been green every day except for the first day the first day I think I lost like a hundred and seventy-five dollars or something like that and then I actually I can't even quite remember. But any case, and you guys who are watching this on the recap, you can jump back to day one, but day one was a red day. It was the first time I've had a red day in a small account challenge.

But then day two and day three have been a great day for day 5. So I'm a little hot streak here And you know first Target is to grow the account up to five thousand dollars. so you know I'm $1,000 in the right direction and I started with 2,500 in the account. So now I've got 3,500 So a thousand dollars in five days.

Two hundred dollars a day on my average there. And and really, it's only gonna get easier as the account grows because I'll have more and more and more buying power today. I could only buy 600 shares of this stock well tomorrow and be able to buy closer to 700 the next day and a couple more green days. I'll be able to buy closer to 800 hundred thousand and then a 50-cent breakout with a thousand chances you know, five hundred bucks so the the profits will follow as my account grows.

But I also have to be careful because if I grow the account up to, you know, let's say five grand and then I can afford to buy five thousand dollars worth of stock and I take a really bad quality trade and I lose. You know, fifteen hundred bucks or something like that. All of a sudden I'm gonna, you know, have a lot less buying power the next day. It's gonna take me a lot longer to dig myself out of the hole.
So I've got to be a little careful, but right now the focus is growing, the account, taking the base hits and this is another great demon. Small account Challenge: I won't be able to trade any account tomorrow I don't have any buying power, only $49 so no trades tomorrow. but I'll have all of the buying power available the day after tomorrow. All right.

Cash settlement period is two days, so no trades tomorrow. but I'll come back at it. definitely. All right.

So that's it for the small count challenge. And does you guys watching this as a recap? Leave your questions comments below or come back answer later. I started with $250 in TDA and grew to $1400 in 3 months. But then I lost $400 and now up another $200. So $1200 trying to grow to $2000 for cash acct. Then trying for $25k. Hopefully possible from $250 .. just don't know how long it will take..

Hey Ross, watching this small account challenge is what I am trying to do right now because I am a beginner. My question is did you have a difficult time starting off? I see your success over your years of practice and I am struggling right now. I was just wondering if you had a rough time starting out too?

I started with $500, $540, 5 working days. lost $10 today. The market was tricky, I saved some. Looking up, great story

It seems there is an overwhelming consensus regarding the TD Ameritrade cash account lag. So what is the next best alternative? Even if that means having to pay reasonable fees/commissions. I'd really like to get started with $5K and avoiding an unreliable trading platform definitely makes sense

When starting off with around $2k, would you recommend a cash account and just divide up your funds you plan to trade with per day or do the 3 day trades a week with a margin account.

    Excellent Video Ross! Thank you!
As someone starting out trading your strategy, what do you personally recommend? Starting out with TD or CMEG? The market is already challenging as it is, what broker would make the experience a little easier and would not give an aspiring day trader hard time?
    Thank you!

Hey Ross, is the first pull back play a higher probability set up than the original break out above the pre market highs? Or are you taking it because you're risking off the low of the pull back, which minimizes your potential loss relative to the volatility at the open?

Im learning a ton from your live video playlist recently and im trying to save up for the warrior trading courses. Thanks!

How I get around TD lags and freezes. I will look at how TOS is acting premarket. At the open before trading I will have an alert ready to place, if it places right away, usually TOS will let me trade without lag, slow orders, rejections or losses. For some reason, placing price alerts are as important as actual orders to the platform. Another way I tried and it works for me, is placing OCO orders at the open. Even when things are lagging and even frozen, when all is said and done, TOS will do the trade. My OCO orders are for about 10 to 20 cents risk reward. Hope this helps.
