So H what am I talking about here? What happens is you're selling your winners too soon and you're holding your losers too long quite simply. But the reason that we do that and I'm guilty of this I've done it myself is because of fear when I have a winner I'm afraid of losing it and so the best way to alleviate that fear is to press the sell button and lock it up even if I'm only up. You know, 3% or 4% but I didn't even achieve the full profit potential of the trade and maybe it up going higher. But I sold too soon and worse.

Maybe I get back in higher and then lose. That's extremely frustrating and we've all probably done that once or twice. maybe maybe more.

Yeah I over trade daily and cut winners too soon. This week I kept CL longs overnight Thursday and beat my fear tho!

Some people actually need to dial down their fearlessness.

You're right. I closed my chpt puts for a loss yesterday to buy chpt shares. What a flop idea that was 😮

I feel like when I sell too soon, it goes higher. And then when i fight the urge to sell quickly, it goes back to my entry. I love trading 🥲

We are all guilty of selling early and buying too late … You can also sometimes be trigger happy and click that mouse too soon. I typically buy and sell several times throughout the day which works fine on the simulator, but in real life I would certainly get flagged as a "Pattern Day Trader". Which brings up another subject you can maybe do a video about. … I know you did it with "Turning $583.15 into over $10 million", but is there a way using only US trading platforms to start out with less capital than $25k? … I know I could probably do it in the simulator with my current strategy I have been using. A derivative of what I have learned from studying you, I have consistently had daily rate gains of 3% to 5% over the last two weeks. I'm planning to continue using the simulator until at least the first of the year. – Sorry for the long post

I always sell right after i bought because it drop a few cents. I panick even though the chart are telling me this is typically a good place to buy. Most of time this stock will go up within the same candle over the course of the next few candles (1 min). So I sell for a loss in panick, and the stock will end up going up 10s of cents even dollars. Psychologically im really having a hard time with it. My only wins have come by lowering my share count. When the stock goes down a few cents with less shares it is far less intimidating and it does not cause that panick for me, allowing me to be disciplined and hold on and eventually selling for profit. I really hope I can raise the shares and still have that same discipline and confidence that I had with the lower share count.

Last time I held a winner for long enough, the gains disappeared instantly with one candle. So partial TPs are best, imho

To me, what’s especially painful is taking a good sized loss only to see the trade skyrocket immediately thereafter!
