The last time Palantir reported earnings, it actually showed us for the first time. gap profitability. For those who don't know what that means, it means generally accepted accounting principles profitability. meaning it was actually profitable for the first time in its history.
It was a huge cause for celebration, as it should be. But one thing I Want to point out here Very, very importantly: Number one: Alex Carp Talk about potential SNP Inclusion because they're actually becoming Gap profitable I'm gonna tell you right now, that ain't happening anytime soon. If you're investing in Palantir, hoping for some sort of an S P 500 inclusion anytime soon, that's not going to happen. Not anytime soon.
Maybe in the future. that's not an issue. Don't invest because of that. S P 500 inclusion like Tesla had I Don't see it coming anytime soon.
Number two: Alex Carp: The founder and the CEO of the company said in the previous press conference that he expects 2023 to be Gap profitable as a year for Palantir. That may very well be the case or they may miss I Don't know. But here's the thing. Gap profitability for the entire year does not mean that every single quarter is going to be Gap profitable.
We can have one quarter of get profitability than one quarter of loss. That can certainly happen and this quarter might be a gap loss. Don't forget that the only reason we got to Gap profitability in the previous quarter was because of a one-time item. I'm not going to get in on this, but you should know that there wasn't one time deal that happened in the previous quarter that hush volunteer just over the brink of Gap profitability.
Now, if they've grown, if they've gotten better, we're going to hit Gap profitability again. But unless we have that, there's a good chance that this quarter is not going to be Gap profitable. And if that's going to be the case, this share price is going to plummet like my grandpa after Christmas party Timber Don't expect the stock to go up if it's not Gap profitable. The expectations were set.
This company misses Gap profitability. It's going to come down harder than you've ever seen before. In fact, it's going to be very painful and expect a bloodbath if that happens and there's a good chance that it will. And I want to warn you, there's a lot of idiots on YouTube who don't know what they're talking about and their whole analysis is based on.
Trust me, bro, financials, analysis or stocks only go up. Technical analysis. whatever the case may be, we have to look at the reality. The reality is that this company is terrific.
Its future is bright, there's a lot of potential I'm a long-term investor, but in the short term it's a very volatile stock. And in case they don't meet Gap profitability, they're going to be in the heap of trouble right after this earnings call. Also, don't forget that it's profitability is not the only issue. its Revenue growth was decelerating over the past few quarters. Now, that doesn't mean that the company isn't growing revenues. it does. In fact, it does more every single quarter. But at the rate at which it grows, its revenues more is decelerating.
And until the company achieves two things which is one: Revenue growth acceleration and GAP profitability, Both these things need to happen for the stock price to stabilize in the short term. Until that happens, it's going to be more pain. And if you're not a long-term investor with patients, you're going to have a lot of trouble with the stock in the short term. I'm going to be honest with you: if it isn't Gap profitable, it's not the end of the world.
In fact, I would say it's pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things long term for the company. But if it isn't Gap profitable, you're going to have a huge impact short term on the price of the shares. And if it isn't Gap profitable, there's a good chance we're going to find this stock tomorrow. At six dollars per share, it seems like there's too much downside risk for lack of Gap profitability over the opportunity of potentially making money if it is Gap profitable.
This company has a lot of time for you to onboard. There's plenty of time. It's still below the price at which it went direct public offering DPO Now it still is cheap. It's still well below its highs it had 20, 30 even the 40 price tag at some point.
Think about it this way: even if the stock jumps 50 today, it's still at 12, which is one third of its highs. There is plenty of time like Peter Lynch Said To invest in good companies, Do not formal and rush into an investment because of hype. even if it's a great company like Palantir. As always, it's been my pleasure here to serve you.

Congratulations Tom, good call on PLTR. Your enthusiasm for the stock has been infectious. Even with my rudimentary understanding of the business it is plain to see there is no one better positioned to capitalise on the future of big data and AI.

This is why you can't listen to these guys.
It beat estimates! Stock surges after market! 🚀
It's $5 that's laughable s&p lol
I got a bad feeling about the earnings. I’m still long-term though.
Great content as usual…. But why is this video called “The End”… The End of what?
I'm getting anxious, or you're making me anxious, lol
Karp is far from trustworthy, move on, dead money at best, for me it was a swing and if i ever buy in again I'll treat it the same way unless it shows results, potential is not enough anymore, thanks for the video!
Really appreciate this video! Very timely – thank you so much!
Why would palantir have bad earnings when most stocks have been doing well. Maybe 2nd quarter it'll do bad when the recession is actually in effect.
Thanks Tom. Are you still holding CHEK?
Tom, are you still invested in tsla for Long Term?
You could be super wrong !!
I like your scepticism but I don't see how its grounded. I think Mr Karp lowballed the revenue estimates (guidance provided in q4 2022) because of previous earnings misses. He now starts to know the game of wallstreet and doesn't want to harm his shareholders even more. The revenue growth even is negative compared to last quarter how he put the guidance forward. I think it's going to be a fat beat on revenue, earnings i'm not sure. The full year guidance of around 2.3 billion won't be achieved in only one terrific quarter. Palantir just announced new partnerships like with Cloudfare. I think these are going to weigh in on the revenue. Just bought some more stock. I can be wrong and I respect your opinion. Both long term shareholders, so we're on the same side. Let's see how this plays out.
Thanks to you
I'm no longer waiting for the GRANT LOAN because I acquire 244k USD every 2 and half weeks recently
