but there's a problem: their population is growing too fast. Even with this economic growth, there's a huge hunger Rampage Throughout the country. though China's economic output is growing fast, its population is growing even faster. So officials decide to introduce the one child policy.
Fewer children would mean fewer amounts of you and a more balanced population. and it's all fine and dandy. Until 2016, the CCP start to worry about their feet from Rot Row our population might be shrinking, so they change it to a two-child policy hoping families would have more children. but it doesn't work.
It's too little too late. so they then enable a three-child policy which is not working either now. China has too many males and its population could dip below 1 billion. What's the fundamental issue? Living costs and life pressures are just too high.

In Chinese culture, the son takes care of aging parents, so if you can only have one child, you make sure its a son. And thats how you get a generation that has 4x males as females

An aging population is a demographic problem, not a “underpopulation” issue. Basically, the issue is that there are too many people of old age.
