IF CPI came at 8.1 will market go up or down
I'd guess that a strong labor market will incentivize a more hawkish attitude from the fed, I doubt that CPI numbers will contribute to them being more dovish. There's a lot of money in the US financial system and they have to drain a large part of it. Otherwise, the US may end up as Venezuela.
