Palantir have just announced their Q2 results and the share price has dropped by 15%.
There were a number of issues in the Palantir earnings - guidance for Q3 and Q4 was slashed and the 30% annual growth rate pledge was deleted.
The Outstanding Deal Value for PLTR continues to be flat at $3.5B which indicates a big slowdown in revenues in the next few years and Palantir is not winning new customers at a rate that would stimulate that growth.
The Palantir earnings call was a disaster with Alex Karp interrupting questions and making a number of highly controversial negative statements.

Palantir is the cigarette of the IT world. Once you start using, you stop on the day you go bankrupt.
The numbers could be better, but my youtube feed tells me Palantir keeps onboarding big customers consistently. So my plan is still:

Having watched three people review PLTR earnings. The one thing no one mentioned was the current macro, and "recession" and reduced spending, what else would we expect in this environment?? A lot of companies will be experiencing a "slow down". A thing we might ask is "Are we expecting too much too soon?" I still sold off, but going to look for an over reaction to buy back in when the PE comes down.

We’ve been in a recession for the past three months at least. I think that’s going to hurt Palantir and a lot of other companies. I’m thinking with the new administration come 2024 things will get better and things will improve for Palantir

Please everyone in the comments sell your palantir stock, we don't need people who say they're holding a stock for 10+ years freaking out this bad over an average quarterly earnings call during a recession.

Not gonna lie, I kinda like the banging fist on the table thing.
This is the third quarter in a row I’ve said Karp is not they guy to run the company. Why are they continuing this train wreck of an experiment with Peter Thiel sitting on the sideline watching his shares tank along with the company?

I was always a sceptic of PLTR and never held it, because I feel like it is – at least in part – morally questionable what they do. Your analysis gives me the impression that the mask is coming down now.
Phew, this sucks.
Seriously, no problem with a CEO getting emotional and being frustrated when the market doesn’t get your value, yet. But you have to be honest and open to your shareholders about where you see the current issues and how you want to address them.
After this performance, I really look different at my investment.
