In recent weeks, farmers in the Netherlands have blocked off food distribution centers with hundreds of tractors, blocked major roads and highways and protested outside local politicians homes to protest a recent government decision. So, why are some of the most peaceful and polite farmers in Europe, have spent the past month blockading food distribution centers, roads and bridges in the Netherlands? and how we might be at the ground level of a new Sri Lanka scenario in the Netherlands.

Yep, ESG is actually good, but proper transition is necessary

Like asking a couch potato to suddenly run a marathon or sprint 400m will do more harm than good for him

Tom, I like your financial videos and I follow them. Although I donโ€™t agree with some of your comments, but they help me expand my perspective. However it seems to me that in this video you simply reacted to a headline you read somewhere without really understanding all the facts. And your title โ€œgreat reset startedโ€ is just pure sensationalism bordering click baiting.

I don't know the Dutch situation but in Germany we throw away 11 Mio Tonnes unused food every single year. I can't imagine it to be very much different in the Netherlands. The handling and managing of the agriculture sector is hilarious and it's obviously about damn time something needs to be done. I bet the farmers are not happy about this, but to produce with subsidies just to directly throw your products away and import food from outside on top, only because it is tax payers money spend on this. How does that make any sense? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคท
How can you really argue and start a discussion, if your only concern is not, that your benefiting from this setup?

It's already been called out. It's intention. They want to strip the land away from the people. They want to put the production in the hands of the government and big corporations. And then like some sort of perverted Magic trick. Corporate lobbyists or the government were overturn the rules that wind up forcing the to go bankrupt begin with. So that the government entities that take over for the corporations won't suffer any ill effect. ESG is an epic scan. It allows corporations to be the worst polluters in history. As long as they agree to woke agendas. It's your corporation agrees that men can get pregnant. Your corporation will get a higher ESG score then an actual environmental friendly company that doesn't agree with such things. When Exxon Mobil has a higher EHD score than Tesla you know it's nonsense

In Switzerland, the population can vote for the so called "Massentierhaltungsinitiative" on September 25th of this year. It will reduce animal production by a lot: 18000 chickens down to 4000 for example. While I am not for mass animal production myself, the initiative is clearly another green-leftie-commie product of trying to make us vegan. Universities are now serving vegetarian and vegan meals too. They might eventually go meat free all along. It all looks well meant and for the animals yadda yadda, but in the end it will trigger very high food prices in Europe. This will be in connection with already very high energy prices. Davos is a village in our country anyway, imagine…

Tom- it seems like you've only explored a small part of this story, and you sound way out of your element discussing science and environmental problems. As a marine biologist and professional diver, I see first-hand the damage caused by eutrophication. I celebrate this decision by the Dutch government.

Have you heard of food manuf plants and chix and beef being lost to fires/poisoning? Whatโ€™s that about? We are global, no longer local. We need to know whatโ€™s going on globally that will affect us locally. Thank you Tom.

I'm Dutch too, great explanation of a very confusing political drama that is unfolding. However, in defense of the politicians, the government is not outright killing these businesses, their plan is to be buying them up, and with the current value of land these days, I don't think any farmer will be getting a bad deal. As far as I understand it, the biggest gripe these farmers have is that their offspring won't be able to just roll into the business of their parents. What confuses me is: why do this now in the midst of a world wide food crisis.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TDA DIY says:

OF coures theyre tryng to F sh!t up on purpose. Thats what oligarchs do. They depend on keeping control and a fearful people and they cant have that if people are prosperous and happy. END THE FED and fire all the politician puppets that have been in office more than 4 years. Start fresh with some new blood and push corruption down!!
