Everything is up way more than 8.6. So the question i have for you is what kind of place of business would you run if the guy who's in charge told you that inflation was transitory? For a whole year, then came out said: well, it's not inflationary, it's not transitory. It's much much worse. He got renominated and got his job again.
The secretary yellen, who actually admitted her mistake also and by saying hey. It was my mistake, but i couldn't have foreseen it, so she did a great job she's still in office, the entire administration. Basically let this happen and now they're getting to keep their job, while the poor people will pay the price. Government is the only entity that employees can make huge mistakes and never suffer any consequences. The federal government has "lost" billions of dollars and nobody suffered any consequences for it. Where in the private sector you can misplace a billion dollars and nobody gets fired?
The fact that they keep their jobs shows that this inflation was expected, is accepted, even intended. Look at the oil, food and commodity increases as a result of sanctuons – effectively sanctuons by our govts against our own populations.
