real talk
Everyone meet kevin here, welcome to an episode of real talk where i hold up a bottle of tequila because i certainly haven't had any uh or uh yeah anyway, uh. Let's just get to the point of the video look uh this morning. Some people in the comments got mad at me, uh. I i talked about uh how a couple employees left before a really big project.
Many of you know that i'm launching a project. It's uh, it's a huge opportunity. It's it's something that i'm very excited about because, like i told my course members this morning like, i can't i can't say the words like. Oh, i guarantee, but i feel as though uh i'd be in a position to say, like i guarantee it's gon na make lots of money for for lots of people.
Obviously you can't make that guarantee, but the point is like it's something that is so big to me and it's so important, uh and uh. It's something i'm so excited about. We don't have all the details. Perfect.
We've got a really great game plans and um the uh. The you know core folks who were working with me on this uh were were not just employees uh. These are folks that uh have have been. You know uh, probably the closest friends i've had for years and to see uh to not only see uh well to not only get rug pulled by uh by by uh.
You know people that are really close to you uh, but then also to see people leave to like a a you know, a previous or or an ex-employee that that is no longer with the company is like kind of like a double burn. That's, like ins, add insult to injury right uh. So so this isn't like me trying to like air dirty laundry, it's just to say like yeah like a this morning, like i'm pissed right, it's kind of like the the steps of feelings right. It's like wow and it's like and tesla's down, it's like, oh what a phenomenal day for kevin like this just goes down on the record books but uh.
It's it's just to say, and you know i'm not here to name names or complain about stuff or whatever. It's like hey look. If you have a better opportunity, that's great! I i, i hope, the world that people get better opportunities. In fact, i talk about better opportunities in front of people that work with me.
Part of me, is just like. Maybe i and there's a broader lesson in all this that i want to talk about too. Maybe maybe i should stop telling people like go get a job at a coding boot camp, because you could make six figures quickly. You know eventually, once you build up experience, you can make more uh, you know and and uh you know.
Maybe that's where people are going, but it it. It seems, like you know, when people leave you for uh for for almost guaranteed a pay cut. It's like wow, maybe i'm the uh, and maybe that is true. Maybe i mean i really don't think i am but then again nobody thinks that they are themselves uh.
You know i, i i'm uh, i'm a big fan of work, hard play hard. You know this is why, for example, when i went to cabo san lucas and invited all of my employees, we spent sixty thousand dollars for a five-day trip uh. You know, and that sounds really frivolous, but it was a phenomenal experience. You know one of the best experiences i've ever had. It was so incredibly fun, uh and again, that's insane. It's it's totally like ludicrous mode right or like we just went to hawaii, also with with staff, and it's like wow hawaii, so freaking fun uh. You know and - and that's that's probably a 20 000 trip would took the family as well, so uh, that's in it. It's just it's things like that where it's like, oh man, it's it's! Not it's not about like.
Oh, let's sit here and work 80 hours a week right, it's life is about. In my opinion, you show up at work, you make money for the business and then you play hard either with your co-workers or your other friends. I don't care, it's a you know. It doesn't have to be me right so, but i'm a big fan of of work, hard play hard, so so maybe uh, maybe maybe i'm too much of an during the work hard part.
You know you can't help but like reflect inwards, a little bit, but what's really cool - and this is sort of the lesson that i wanted to talk about in this video - is that uh, when unexpected things happen, uh oftentimes, there's, there's a substantial silver lining that uh That may not be apparent immediately, but for me has already become very apparent uh and that's that uh, i'm very motivated now like this is like some of the best motivation ever from me to get my hands dirty on all the stuff that i was was you Know relying on others to do uh and uh, and and now i'm i'm in a place. Having talked to so many people today about uh, you know some of our transitions, i'm in a place where i think our opportunities now are going to be bigger than i thought before. They're going to happen faster than i thought before, uh like things are looking up. Uh, you know when plans that we have for the channel for videos for future content.
Things are looking better than they did before yeah, and what's really incredible about that, is i don't know if it's i'm looking at the things with a different lens or it's just that, like i'm realizing like nope kevin's going hands-on, it's kind of like hey you're, running Walmart and all your cashiers just worked, walked out and you're the manager in the back like picking up trash or trying to like, like you, know, motivate people to do their packaging right uh, it's like all right um. Can you guys take over back here? I got to go up and handle the registers and it's like i got a big line at the registers, but i'm like wait. Wait a minute. This ain't that bad i get to.
I get to interact with customers again so uh uh. You know this morning was very rough. Uh now is uh, actually very good. I'm i'm very happy, i'm very optimistic uh.
I'm super happy about the hundreds of people who have uh have uh almost probably closer to a thousand people who have reached out uh in ways of offering support, uh, and i think broadly, there's there's a way of applying this to to our livelihoods and to the Stock market too, it's that uh good times generally follow bad times and so uh. You know if, if we have really bad uh a really bad time in life, uh, loss of family member loss of job loss of of a trade or made a big mistake or whatever you could have uh, you could have massive depression, uh and - and i'm not Immune to that, you know you can have four or five months, sometimes year-long depression, but it you'd usually take some form of spark and i think, there's the lesson right. Some form of spark to like make you want to change. Uh and hey. You know got a haircut okay, getting dirty again going all in it's like wait, let's, let's no problem, let's pour another cup of coffee work, harder and - and you know pick it up by the bootstraps and keep moving forward - nothing like nothing's gon na stop me from Wanting to achieve my dreams, certainly i'm not gon na. Let somebody stay in the way of that uh. I you know i can only wish other people the best good luck, uh. You know i uh.
Obviously, if i could have scripted it, i would have loved to uh had people you know say something, and this would be a recommendation uh for, for you is like hey like uh, you know, if i'm an employee and let's say you're my boss, it's like hey! You know i'm uh, i maybe i don't like this line of work. I want to get into a different line of work. I want to get into a different field, even if that means i'm getting paid a third of what i'm getting paid now uh. I want to get into a different line of work, because i have a passion for it's like hey great.
How can we help you transition to that right? We don't want to burn bridges. We would want to help uh people transition. The worst time would be to do that would be like right before a uh. You know massive launch of something uh, you know and then sia you know be we'll be gone and, and you know now, uh you know would be really nice to do something like hey, let's, let's get through this launch and then by the way, hey by the End of the year we want to transition to this or, whatever great totally fair.
Like people change their opinions. You know it's like you go to marriage, you have a problem, you go to marriage, counseling, you go to marriage counseling and you uh uh. You you either decide, you know what no we're gon na part ways and we're going to do so methodically and and peacefully or or or not something, but you know other times uh. Sometimes that doesn't work out.
So i don't know i guess everything's everything's up to the individual uh, ultimately yeah, because usually it's the opposite too like and it's always like. Is that a double standard? It's always the other way around too, because you can take the flip side approach and oftentimes when, like managers are like, hey, you're underperforming, you're, underperforming, you're underperforming and then, like you, go to fire somebody as a manager. Usually you don't want people working for a company anymore after they've like either been fired or you've, given them notice, because then it's just like you know, usually bad things come in the last couple weeks of somebody working there uh so either it's like hey in six Months you know i want to transition to something or just buy, is usually how these things go from either side so again like. If i could have scripted my own reality, i would have preferred the sixth month uh, let's let's transition together, because that also preserves relationships right um but uh. You know oh well. The big lesson, though, is uh that spark when this, when, if, if you hit such a low that it now gives you a spark, you have to just look at it and say. Thank you so i'll say that. Thank you for rug pulling me.
It's been incredibly inspiring and i'm very motivated now so thank you and for all those of you watching uh. If uh you don't like something, i say: don't watch. If you want to complain in the comments about something i say: that's, okay, i will see your comments. Uh i'll i'll take some offense uh, but i'll get over it, and i respect and appreciate all those of you that are like.
Have it stop complaining like got it you're right? I should stop complaining, but i can do whatever i want so anyway, thanks so much for being here thanks thanks for watching supporting whether you like me, hate me whether you leave mean comments or what i still appreciate you watching uh and hopefully, if anything, you could Always learn something coming here. That's always the goal. Every video is what i always ask every video i make what what can you learn from watching my video uh? I never want you to watch a video of mine and realize i didn't learn anything today, because if that ever happens um then i know i'll lose you and i don't want that. I've already lost enough.
If this "project" is a NFT or tokken I'm out and done…please don't do it kevin..
If I’m leaving an employer for less pay then chances are it’s because there’s something wrong with that employer I’m leaving
Take a look in the Dot-com bubble in late 90's. It will give you some guidance of what's happening now.
We love you kevin! Keep doing you bro!
In a perfect world, I would take something that makes me happy over exuberant amounts of money. Unless a person is motivated by similar goals, it's difficult to find like-minded individuals.
I’m so glad things got better for you!
You're not coming out of this looking very good at all Kevin. Quite embarrassing really keep your shit to yourself man no wonder they left if this is how you are spoiled child much? Jeesh
So meet Kevin did not predict any of this correctly? I thought you can see the future. In addition, you own the employees? They can leave if they want. I mean your dad Elon Musk bought twitter and fired half the staff. Just saying.
One of my favorite mantras is this: success is the best revenge. You got this, man. I wish you the best.
Hard to do business with family and friends, mate
You should probably keep slamming your ex employees that left. It makes you look like a total asshole! Just let it go dude, they wanted to leave for a reason.
Kevin you keep doing you ppl will always be complaining don't take it personal we love your streams we all have good and bad days
ANY SMART PERSON WOULD ANY ME WHY AND WHATS YOUR ANALYSIS……NONE OF YOU WILL BE HERE IN 2 YEARS…..
Sounds like they weren't getting paid their worth ? People don't leave for no reason.
Great Hair cut brotha! like the Taper fade
If their employment situation was good, why did they leave for a pay cut?
Well Kevin , it’s like I said earlier … kcuf em’
The one thing about you Kevin that I appreciate the most is your commitment to truth. You're open minded, you're not trying to sabotage and scam. Good job. Great channel man.
Can't grow, reflect, and learn unless we have days like today. Much respect Kevin! You always have my ear to chat to! You will have so many better days than bad.
Chad @ Pristine
If it’s so important couldn’t you double their pay during that important time period for you. Just because it’s important to you doesn’t mean it’s important for other people
Keep your head up Kev, a lot of people would be very grateful to get a job from you.
I take issue with you saying you paid them 100k plus & paid vacation & then in a different video you say you saved 500k from not paying them.
You have a responsibility as a boss & financial guru to be more mature than this
2 YEAR BEAR MARKET…….IVE BEEN WARNING YOU SINCE JAN,,,,,,HOWS THAT TESLA AND GOOGLE NOW……
Oh funny I got a haircut today too 😂 (in stonks)
Pre-market trading Dow down over 700 points looks like maybe another bloodbath tomorrow
You can't get attached to employees bro. We're all just mercenaries at the end of the day.
Keep up the great work! I’ve learned a ton from the streams and courses. No better source for market info!!
Lucid got a 100,000 car order from Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia is also an investor in Lucid, i wonder if they will have to pay?
FUCK THOSE HATERS. BRO. LOVE YOUR HAIRCUT!!!!!!!!!!! CCLLEEAANNNNNNNNNN CUT BOYYY!!!!
It’s all good Kev. Happens to the best of us.
Hey Kevin I always enjoy the content, thank you. I have learned a lot! Also the first time watching real talk and it's cool see some of the things that you go through, no bs. 🙂
Meet Kevin, the Drunkard. (all jokes kevin, sniffling coke as I edit this comment)
"Where I hold up a bottle of Tequila!" lol Great idea after getting "shredded on the stock market like taco meat", as Stockwits put it. Cheers, Mate!
