Warrior Trading // Ross Cameron // Day Trade Warrior
Okay, here we go. So just about time for Power Hour it's three o'clock Eastern Standard time We have one hour to the closing bell and I'm coming on here for a Power Hour uh little well I don't know I I It happens to be power hour and it's time to do my recap. but I thought I would take a look and see if there's anything looking interesting. so let's see how the scans are looking and then we'll go over my trades from this morning and recap them.
and geez, if there's an opportunity for some Power Hour trades I Couldn't possibly say no, but I'm not sure if there will be so this morning for those, uh, tuning in. Thank you for joining us! This morning was kind of slow. We had Cyn and I tried to step up to the plate and be aggressive on it. Uh, lower price stock.
interestingly fairly thickly traded and I didn't really expect it to be super thickly traded, but you look at that level two there and you can see how stacked up it is. I mean that's the level two you know you look at like Bank of America like look at how thickly traded Cyn is Bank of America's Got an 8 billion share float. Um, you know, but this seems just as thickly traded. Big bids, big sellers.
so it definitely seems like there's some high frequency trading algorithms that have gotten kind of like I don't know. Tuned in on this stock today and I noticed it from pretty early so you know that's a little disappointing. Um, you know not to get into the The High Frequency trading algorithms. in a lot of detail in this sort of recap, but some choppy price action uh, at times a couple of really nasty rejections where that's a bull trap, it rips up and then flushes hard and I was on 1.6 million shares of volume right there.
That's incredible volume in a one minute candle. Cyn has 200 million shares of volume, right? I Mean this has got like half a billion dollars in in stock traded. It's really pretty. Pretty mind-boggling how much money has traded hands on.
Cyn The float says 27 million shares, so it's like a 10 times flow rotation on this one. So fairly choppy. Uh, on that candle for sure. A little chop in there.
We did end up getting a nice move on it and you know I did okay. you can see my P. L there. As always, my results are not typical.
Trading is risky. Most beginner Traders lose money so you should assume as a beginner Trader you'll lose money as well. With that assumption in mind, don't trade with money. You can't afford to lose practice in a simulator before you put real money on the line.
We make no guarantees that you will find success as a Trader You guys have heard me say that probably a million times. But uh, just to reiterate it, trading is risky. Swvl. let's look.
uh, someone mentioned this one earlier and gosh, you got that Re. So this is looks like a D-spacks usually are at ten dollars. They raise money, so let's do a little research on this. Um, all right.
so let's check to see what the float is. 34 million shares so they would have raised about 350 million dollars potentially at 10 your previous high Back there was eight. um mm-hmm Office interesting. Yeah, so you know on this. Um, you had such a big move earlier and it looks like it halted a couple times in a row going up. so it went from five up to 550. halted at 572. it resumed Hall to the second time resumed, helped a third time resume.
called it a fourth time, then it halted down, came down more, bounced up to 850. and now that's been this kind of Line in the Sand You know what was, uh, strong going into the close yesterday wbev and I got a trade on it this morning as it broke yesterday's high. but this went from four to six dollars into the close so you got a little Power Hour squeeze on that one yesterday Rdbx now that one I don't like as much. Um, so Swvl yeah, that's that's one to keep an eye on.
Sev This one I took a stab on earlier, but it was fairly choppy so I don't think there'll be anything, um, anything to do with that one. Kind of slow by the way. Thanks! Um, for those who are tuning in on um this recap and for a little. Power Hour Market Commentary doing this as a live just to save time because it's later in the day and I just wanted to get the video up here and it's faster than doing recording it and then editing it and then uploading it.
So I just thought I'd go live which is um what I'm doing and thank you for those who checked out my TED Talk from Tuesday talk with Ted That was fun Cyn Yeah so let's check another scan. Uh Warrior members you guys know we've got some new scanners coming. Manoli you had put in special request for penny stock gappers so we built that out for you Manoli we are super super proud of. He's got his one million dollar badge and uh hey if you're ready to get turn that badge into 1.5 or 2 million uh we'll make a we'll make a special badge for you Just uh you let me know one of our other one million dollar badge holders.
He has two of them stacked on top of each other so you can't see super well but it's one million and there's another one right behind it. When he verified, he verified two million dollars in profit. but I didn't make the two million badge so I just told him there was two stacked on top of each other. All right Top gainers but Manoli for you for you We'll give you the the 1.5 or the two.
This year feels like a bit of a grind so far. Q1 has been that way. Some years are like that, uh, some years and that's the interesting thing with trading is that you know you'll have this isn't like a nine to five job where you're just gonna expect a three percent annual increase, or five percent or whatever it might be. You might have a year where you make half what you made the previous year and then the next year you make three times as much it could be.
So it's just the whim of the market. Do we have strong markets? Or do we have colder markets? And so one of the things that's really important is to be thinking about your diversification. So you know when you're having a really good year, you feel good. You bring in that money. When you're having a slow year, or you're losing money, you're able to adjust as well. You know I Don't want to come in with the assumption that everyone's going to make money because of course most people when they come in they lose. And that's the whole idea with practicing a simulator before you put real money on the line. Okay, so our leading Gainer today is Cyn at 82 percent.
Uh, let's check relative volume leaders. Let's see relative volume. So relative volume leader: This one's a that one is a database anomaly because it just got added I Know that for a fact y-o-t-a-u this one's uh, acquisition company sometimes worth watching these but I don't see anything there? then you've got Cyn relative volume is 1800 knsw. So another special acquisition company as you can see here dtrt So spax.
Sometimes we end up getting opportunities on but uh, not always. can anyone help me? I need an Excel template to start collecting data? So um, let's see I don't remember if? um I don't remember if the Excel template that I have I I don't think that we made that public. I'm pretty sure it's just available for students. Um, just checking.
Yeah, I think it's just available for students right now. but um, there's two things you can do. I mean one, you could set up an Excel doc which is fine, you could, you could use Excel and and then second, if you didn't want to use Excel you could use Trader view which is what I use to import my trades. We were looking at this a little bit earlier and this for me is kind of easier because I just import all my trades here.
but then when you're importing, you're not able to um, take notes kind of while you're trading. so that makes it a little bit not ideal. so you could use Excel if you if you don't mind. Thanks! Cal I Appreciate that.
All right, let's see. Nice, nice, good job. Let me take a look at that Swvl. So this morning trading was um, it was pretty good.
We we had some good opportunities I Was hoping we'd get a little bit more action, but not every day is going to be super super busy. Why don't I show us the advantage of shorting a stock please? Well, so we were actually just talking about this for Um, students, we were I was hosted a class on this. So the thing is, you've got a couple issues. So number one.
Um, as many of you know. I'm a big advocate of trading in a retirement account because if you trade a retirement account, your income is either at least the very least tax deferred or possibly tax-free So this year I have made about two thousand dollars in taxable trading income. Two thousand dollars in taxable income. Everything else has been in my retirement account.
So I have no income tax on it. That's huge. That's a really big deal. but one of the rules with trading in a retirement account is that you can't short stocks. and that's just the rule. There's nothing there's nothing you could do about that. That is the rule you cannot show a retirement account. so I don't shorten a retirement account now.
I did look at um so earlier I looked at shares available to borrow I can check to see if Shares are available to borrow and I also have a regular margin account so I could trade in that. but I just know that you know 40 percent of the gains I make I'm going to be giving up in in terms of tax taxable gain short-term capital gains tax rate so I saw shares of web or wbev were 22 cents a share and I was like that's pretty expensive you know 22 cents a shares a pretty high price so you know. saw that took note of it but uh generally I'm I'm just I'm a long biased Trader when I see stocks going up I want to buy them I'm not thinking about shorting them, that's just not how I trade. Okay let's see um Oh I got to put aside a medium Cactus Okay so let's just check.
Okay so we've got a medium Cactus sweatshirt Yes, the IRA class was recorded and um that is getting uploaded. Now to the Uh the the Learning Management software the LMS let's see they're treating an IRA Russ okay sorry James I think I missed your question there. My Rambo headband is uh I don't I don't it was right up there and then I think I moved it I'm not sure but it'll I'll get it back out when the market is calling. Oh okay, all right so Steve all right, got it.
So right now for Power Hour things are like not much is happening I have scans running and this is generally you know. this is what I'll do in the afternoon, I'll be sort of actively sitting sometimes teaching class and stuff like that and I just have my scanners turned on so something starts moving. You know I hear it and I can jump on it and if nothing starts moving, then well that maybe don't end up doing anything. It ends up being a slow Power Hour but just that sort of state of being active, being ready and just waiting.
So you know this one. it came up to 758 756 and then dropped so it needs to pull away through eight dollars and then maybe we'd have another shot at a move to the high not impossible all-time high on is 10. So it's um, it's possible, but we'll see. we'll let it prove itself.
it's up 72 percent. Cyn I'm not really in love with that one right now that one's not doing too much. So question on the tax side, isn't it better just to pay your taxes? Now taxes are only going to go up over time? Well, that may be true. but the nice thing with a Roth IRA is that if you pay the tax, uh, now the Roth IRA growth and distributions are tax-free Foreign, all right.
So our classes are constantly running and so we're bringing on new students. but we do have a minimum enrollment goal that we have for each calendar month and that's to meet the minimum enrollment so I can get things scheduled out so I can have our mentors scheduled out and make sure I can get those guys paid and everything else. So there is a calendar that we have and I had during the Ted Talk Let everyone know that we were bringing on a group of Traders right now to meet the minimum enrollment for the month ahead so you can. You're welcome to join uh now if you'd like to or if you'd like to wait. That's that's fine too, but different times of the year and different when things are slower or things are busier. the um, the cost to be in the program changes depending on kind of what we're doing, so there's some um variation there. So SWV the only reason I didn't trade it earlier was because I missed it I had already started focusing on something else and then it halted up at 10 15 and I was like ah man, I I missed it I'm not going to chase it up here. so then I just I left it alone.
Um, but now that I've finished class and I'm looking at it this afternoon I See Okay, maybe maybe there'll be opportunity going into the close, but we'll see. Thank you All right hang on one second. I Gotta let June foreign oh my. God look on energy stocks oil stocks.
Well I don't know I Was looking at Uso the other day and it looked like there's a pivot up here on the daily chart around 82 dollars so that could be interesting. The pivots now come down a little bit to 81.70. and then the high there is um 87 84. so there could be something interesting there, but we'll we'll see.
So this morning Cyn that was I don't remember I think it was the first one I traded and I traded right at 8 30 when the news came out and it started spiking up and on the first trade I got in and then I got stopped out break even so I got in at about a dollar and fifty cents right here. but then I added at a dollar 85 for the Breakthrough too. it hit 2 1.94 and then dropped all the way back down to 1.59 uh and all the way back down to a dollar fifty two. So because I added High I ended up stopping outbreak even which was kind of a bummer because then it ended up curling sort of right off this level.
but I would have gone red on it and the fact is, when when that happens, it's usually just not a good. it's just not a usually a good indicator. I don't generally think it's a good idea to hold when something's coming back down against you. so I just I said, you know what, whatever I'll just let it go.
Um so I let it go. but then it did rally back up. So then I got back in it and you know, made some money here. We got up to 210.
so the areas where I was trading it of course. um, pull back right here, pull back right here for the break of two dollars and then I don't remember if I took that trade there up to 205 I can't remember maybe and then coming into the open I had a couple more trades uh, right through here long and then right through here for a trade at the open and then I did not end up taking this trade right here because I thought that was too extended and the volume was too light. But I did take this trade right here and took a 1200 loss on it. So I was like man that was stupid but sometimes that happens so it's okay. So that was Cyn from this morning wbev this one I jumped in, it halted up and then I did a dip and rip on it. The halt up was at five. uh forty five fifty Seven it resumed I got in at 557, it hauled it up at 6 13. it resumed I did another dip, it went up to five, 655 was all out and then it pulled back and I was like oh, that's fine.
um Swvl coming up a little bit here so I'll take a quick trade on that I bought at 58 or 60. and the Target on this would be to add over 75 and 85 to see if it goes back to eight dollars. So we've got 65 on the ask right now I'm in at 60. watching this micro pullback and then if it breaks over 68 and 70.
so watch the 10 second chart so see how this pulls back just a little bit here. So sometimes when I jump in I think you know it's going to keep going and other times I get in, it pulls back for a second. So I'm going to add there at 58. I'm looking for the 10 second chart to curl through 68.
and then I'll add again at 68 for the Breakthrough 75. So watching these levels here for a trade over 768 some green on the tape which is good and what you can see on this is that it is pulling away from the volume weight. average price which is a pretty big deal. So this is an area where I feel like the Bulls are in control.
You have a strong green candle. your chart clearly shows if it breaks over eight, you've got room back to 859 even ten dollars. So let's see if Traders start to buy up this first pullback. If this was a break below V web or something, I wouldn't be as comfortable holding.
but right here I'm still okay with holding and I'm still interested in adding to the position if we start to see it pull away through 65.75 So New Order goes at 7.75 on Swvl and a reminder as always that trading is risky and my results are not typical. So I may trade this aggressively I may do very well on it I may lose money on it, but you have to make your decisions on your own. So green on the tape there at 64. see that green added at 64.
Because when I see that green on the tape, that makes me think that we may get that first candle to make a new high and then a break through the high. So let's see what it wants to do. Hi This candle right now is 71. Watching down here, still waiting for the first candle to make a new high.
Nice volume on the five. We've got about 30 minutes to the close and so you know I'm kind of thinking about, um, the move that we had yesterday on uh, which one was it? um, wbev and I'm wondering whether or not we get something similar I added it 42. So this is a bounce right there off the volume weighted average price and then the high this candle 64. So what I'd like to see when I add like 4142 is a bounce back up over the half dollar and then we'll see if we got to move back up to 65.70. So we've got Uh 41 on the bid right now I'm in at 54 average This candle is got a high of 71. so watch over 65 and 70. so you know right here I'm back to break even and then over 65.70 I can add for a trade through. uh the high.
you can see how that was a bounce off volume weight average price. view app was 30. hi this candle is 64. so New Order goes at 75.
what I like about this one is the rate of change that it had earlier. so that makes me think of it starts to open up that we could see a good move but we'll see foreign I'll even order at 70 so I can add and we'll see if we get that squeeze up over eight. If we do we might get a little. Power Hour Move on this.
it's got to break through eight dollars. that's the important trigger. So what do you think you think it'll break eight? I don't know I guess 775 is the first Line in the Sand 54 on the ask there's 58. there's 59.
so you know when I see something and it looks good? I step up to the plate I put real money on the line and I say I'm gonna give it a shot. So the level I'm watching now is 65. if we break through 65, that's where I'd want to add. Watch this added right there 65.
now we're looking for the Breakthrough 70. So as this starts to pull up, this is what we'd like to see I don't mind if it dips down because this is showing some strength. It's definitely bullish. New Order goes at 75.
So then as we start to pull away on a break of 71, we want to look for that squeeze from 71 to 81 91 and then the back of mine. Target would be that we break through eight dollars, right? That's what we want to see. So hi, this candle 65. Watch this thing break 65 68 for the move over 70.
we're up 77 percent. We've got a bid stack at 54. So this is that coiling pattern right now. we're just kind of coiling.
we're in consolidation and we're waiting for the break of 65. And then the squeeze up to 70. the high of this candle here is eight dollars. I'm going to watch down here.
so what are you? The thing with this is like what are you supposed to do with when that happens? So I added down there at 74 to buy. That's to me, kind of a ridiculous drop. All of a sudden, it drops. How much is that? A dollar a share? 50 cents a share? So I'll try to buy the dip and manage the risk on it, but that doesn't really make sense to me why it would drop like that foreign New Order is going to be at 7 50.
you know, that's the kind of thing that I just don't get. But showing a 725 resumption right now? so I added at 674 to buy the dip? So I'm in a 730 average. so I'll watch resumption and then we'll see if it ends up popping back up. The good news is I have a cushion foreign so we'll see what this ends up doing. My new order is that I mean I'll just leave it at 770. We'll see if it pops back up. So what this did earlier? you can see you had this pullback here and you had this one here. so I'll hope that it recovers I'm not really sure why it pulled back so sharply on that candle, but it's kind of like it dropped to 720 and then all of a sudden was 6.75 The bid dropped, but now it's back to 725 .
So let's see. the halt time was Uh 332. Resumption will be 337. approximately foreign resumption in about one minute.
but you know this is a reminder. As always, trading is Easy Come Easy Go So we're showing a 719 resumption right now. resumption in about one minute. That needed to break through 771.
That was our. that was our critical level. So we're showing 714 foreign, added down there, seven to seven, seventy three and looking for the pop back up to 7 or 673. Looking for the pot back up to seven I'm really surprised that it's sort of seems like there's such a wall there I'm looking for it to pop and break through that level.
Back up to Seven Foreign. So watching over 75 on the 10 second chart for that to curl, my average is 713. 733 is the hauled up so took the loss on it 12. Grand it's a little disappointing.
I mean you know? look I was up 8 000 on the day I just took a 12 000 loss but I went flat because it's not bouncing so that's my power hour. Twelve thousand dollar loss. So it puts me down four grand on the day, but better the cut the loss there than to keep holding. So 650 was the exit so hit the bid there at 52..
yeah, so I mean I don't know I I just walked right in on this consolidation and then I caught a nasty flush right there. so that's it for me. I'm down 4 000. uh on the day.
so recap: flipped from being a Green Day to a red day and anytime I flip from being green to red. that's that's my immediate cue just to walk away because I'm gonna I don't want to push it so just gonna walk away say that's it I'm done and come back tomorrow. One of the goals for me is, um, just to try to keep the losses small so a four thousand dollar red day isn't that bad. That's something I can easily make back when I catch the next one.
so disappointed. but that's all right. I'll be back at it tomorrow, so that's my recap. That's power hour.
We don't have anything that looks strong, so I'll try again tomorrow. Hopefully we have better, better opportunities and cleaner momentum. All right you guys, good luck I'll see you tomorrow. Reminder as always Easy Come Easy Go Trading is risky.
Take it slow, foreign.
Ross thank you for taking the hit for us, and show us that trading is risky, hope you get to 1M subscribers very soon!
Thanks Ross for all your videos on trading… expressing your passion, techniques, strategies, knowledge in trading and related things including trading psychology. What a valuable resource you have been to me and others. Many thanks. I have not taken any of your paid courses but I just learn from you videos you put out. I like to learn the hard way that way I learn from the learning process much richer experience. Thank you Ross for being there for us. Plz continue with your videos….Many many thanks.
Its ok Ross. Tomorrow if anyone has the ability of making a 10x profit of that, its you. Come back strong.
Ross at 29 min into the video when you said you couldn't understand why SWVL sold off the way it did maybe it's because you neglected to take into account the following: 1) bearish ceiling test. 2) adverse pull the 7 round number. 3) despite the stock inching out of a classic pattern, it did so by forming a micro- trend channel which is usually a sign of weakness. 4) the pullback relative to the 6 to 8 dollar swing had only 2 subwaves. (Possibly more sellers on the sidelines who have yet to close or short). So yes, I realize that this is all in retrospect but perhaps these are things you can think about by going back to the chart at that time and reevaluate that trade to see if it makes sense to you or not. Just a suggestion.
I was waiting all day for that swvl to break all time highs all day. I missed the initial move too.
What a surprise a power hour video but I gotta say you picked the worst day to do it lol! I was sitting there too with nothing to trade all hour. I got redbox and did very well but that was earlier around maybe 1 or 2 I wanna say
Really hate that, Ross. I wasn't trading but in watching the replay I totally agree with you that it looked like it was going to climb up to $8.00. Thanks for being transparent and real. I traded CYN this morning with your approach and walked away with a 10% base hit. You are a great teacher! I'm hoping to join Warrior Trading later this summer after I build up the cash.
This is why I respect Ross so much. He shows us everything! Like he said he will make the money back easily!!!
Hi there, I find your teachings very useful and find that you explain everything extremely well. Just wondering, what trading app/program/software you use? When everything is ready I am very excited to join your course!
Ross always says….don't over trade. He sometimes doesn't listen to his own advice.
What laptop do you use for trading ? I’m looking for one to replace my dated desktop for DT
As tough as I suspect that was for you, I think its good to show what tough loss looks like. I guess every trader is going to have to deal with them. I'd have froze in that situation, and probably made it a swing trade. But you controlled the loss. That's experience and a good lesson.
<<The stock and crypto market is filled with people who know the price of everything, but the value of nothing. That's why I will forever be in -depted to you Oliver Miguel you've changed my life, I'll continue to preach about your name for the world to hear, you've saved me from a huge financial debt with just little investment, Thanks Mr Oliver Miguel>>
Hi Ross,
again, thanks for sharing all your knowledge for free on youtube! One thing I have always been wondering about regarding the small account challenge: If you have a 500 USD account, would you use the whole 500 USD for the first trade? Or how much of your available liquidity do you recommend to trade when having a small account? Thank you!
So sorry Ross! SWVL got me too. Who has the funds to rug pull like that? Brutal. So much more i wanto say…. meh….
EDIT: thanks for keeping it real, the transparency. I mean, 10 mins ago I was feeling typical newbie mistake. But if it can happen to you too…. well, then it's more brutal market than me being an idiot. At least that's wut I'll tell myself til bedtime, lol
I started watching your videos because of Jesus Navarrete his my teacher, his always talking about how amazing you are
Very transparent, very honest trader. Great traders are also good losers, and not afraid to admit it. Excellent teacher too.
Hey Ross, I signed up for your ted talk Tuesday. I never got an email or link to watch it. Is there anyway I can watch a recording of it? Thanks.
worst feeling ever to be green and happy then end the day with last trade and being negative. lately you have been in such a good mood (new drugs? love life is spicier? lol)
i watched your recap after market closed and i was screaming "dont buy it!!!". i watch you every day and it hurt my feelings as if i was trading it myself. hope you will shake it off. hate red days. chop some wood and get the frustration out!
I’m in need of some advice, any for that matter. I currently live in Hawaii where the stock market opens at 3:30am, I have tried swing trading for a year with no success and recently started day trading and it went well, however, waking up at 3:30am leads me to make poor decisions. Would anyone suggest trading power hour or any other specific time?
damn Ross, that SWVL trade was painful to watch, i was so close to trade it also but i made some gains when i shorted the halt down.earlier. I got very suspicious because there was so much inside trades going in.
Trying to make sense of cryptocurrencies can be a bit overwhelming for investors. <It's a nascent but promising asset class built on technology that has the potential to disrupt a wide range of industries. For investors, what's probably most attractive is the possibility of life-changing returns. Don't worry, you're not late to the crypto party. We're likely still in the very early innings, leaving you with lots of time to put money to work and learn about this burgeoning market. If you're new to crypto then my advise is that you trade with the guidance of an expert. I have learned from alot of Youtubrs especially my mentor Ethans Mia , who taught me how to make trade and increase my portfolio to 19 btc lately.
I’d like to say thanks for all your teachings…. I’m getting my scanning skills on point. Finally catching big moves before they happen. SWVL was my big winner today…. I could have done so much better if I wasn’t scared by the halts… I got in 1500 shares a few seconds after the first hault resumption and made 1200 in like 2 seconds… took it and sat back and watched it get halted repeatedly each time telling myself not to chase it.. 2 scared to trade it further because it was my first time being in something that was moving so insanely. Also because I saw no news catalyst to justify it so I feared a drop out of one of the halts…. It was halt number 4 I believe that finally resumed to the downside. Which I’m glad I wasn’t in.
For my friend, my guide, my teacher,…the best I have in my more than 36 years of services in this industry, my love to you Ross Cameron
These days are the most challenging emotionally. Every trader has been here. Should’ve couldve would’ves
Hey Ross, what are you using to figure out halt levels and how do you know the resumption price?
Sorry you lost money today, I had my best day yet. Made 43.2% of my initial investment and over 20% of my total account value.
Anyway, thanks as always for your videos. They are much appreciated. Hope you have a nice green day tomorrow.
Happy trading, cheers.
Hey I was wondering if your students are more successful with you than most other traders and there teachers?
