Elon Musk Just Dropped a Bombshell about Tesla's Future. During the Q1 Earnings call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the Model Y will be the best selling VEHICLE in the world by the end of 2022. How big is this statement? Well, here are a few numbers, the Toyota Corolla which is currently the best selling car in the world, sells about 1.5 million cars annually, so this would mean that TSLA is planning to make at least 1.5 million Model Y’s in 2022, not to mention the model 3, its current best selling car, as well as model S and model X, and off course the 25K sedan it will roll out in the next couple of years. This would most likely mean at the very least 2.5 million cars delivered by tesla in 2022, imagine that. This is start level growth figures and we are talking about a 600 billion dollar company.
In addition, the revenue for its energy generation and storage business grew by almost 100% from Q1 of last year, and that is with Tesla literally chasing away customers because they cant meet demand due to supply chain issues and raw material shortage. Tesla literally stopped selling power walls to anyone besides their solar roof customers.

So if we learn one thing from this latest tesla earnings call is that elon is indeed a massive og. Now this dude managed to drop three massive bombshells during this boar fest, everybody was falling asleep. It was entirely uneventful, but within this boredom ellen managed to spice it up with three massive bombshells. Nobody noticed and now in this video i'm gon na.

Actually let you know in case you haven't joined us in the live stream. Yesterday, don't worry, i'm gon na recap. Everything you need to know right now without any of the fluff. Now, first of all, as you know, in my videos, you always get the bottom line.

First, i don't know if you have time to watch the entire video or not, and i respect your time so the three items i'm going to be talking about in this video, if you just want the bottom line, is the model y anticipation of being the best Selling car in the world period, the chip shortage, revolutionary solution that elon actually came up with and, of course, the massive prediction about his energy business, which is insane. You absolutely want to hear about this, but if you just wanted the bottom line here, it is here you go, but if you want to hang out with me, have a beer have a coffee, let's get straight into the actual conference. Call so here's the thing. I don't want you to press nothing, don't click! Nothing! Don't smash, nothing! Just listening up, because there's a lot of goodies here.

You absolutely need to hear if you have any interest good or bad in tesla. Okay, let's get started. If this is your first time here by the way, my name is tom, i used to be a senior financial analyst. Now i'm a full-time youtuber, giving you the breakdown of my knowledge of the financial world, the stock market, the mainstream media bs against tesla, and all that good stuff that revolves around the stock market.

Now, there's three things that happen within this conference call, which you absolutely need to hear about and before i get to them and of course i already told you what those three are. I do want to point out a few interesting items that mainstream media seems to be again how surprising or not forgetting i want to give a huge shout out to the wall street media. Now the wall street media is pretty much a coin that i termed or a term that i coined, whichever you want to take a look at it, which includes the wall street gang the hedge funds, institutionals and mainstream media, both with a similar agenda of seeing tesla Fail now these guys put a consensus of 77 cents per share for tesla to fail because they saw the extremely good delivery numbers for q1 and they were like. Okay, let's put a number there - that tesla could never meet 77 cents per share.

It's quite hefty. However, much like coyote and roadrunner, the coyote never succeeds. The coyote always ends up eating dust. Same thing happened here: tesla beats those numbers with 93 cents per share with a 74 revenue growth, 10.4 billion in revenue in just q1, increasing the gross margin essentially outperforming in every single category.
You can think of all while dealing with the pandemic crisis, not making any model s or any model x and dealing through the wars, semiconductor shortage in the history of mankind, while putting two people in the space taxi sell flying one with reusable rockets. That's going to the moon every six months. Of course i'm talking about elon here, not tesla, but i mean the man has been busy and at this point i know a lot of your haters and sons of lovers will talk about their regulatory credits. 500 million tom.

Look at how much they sold well. First of all, let me put things in perspective: there buddy okay, we're talking about five percent of their revenue, five percent, so chill the hell out. The second part of this narrative is actually the flip side of it, which you and your hater brain are not understanding if tesla managed to sell more regulatory credits this quarter than last quarter. That means that the whole argument, the whole narrative about legacy automakers banging on the door chasing tesla, is completely bs.

I mean if they're, actually producing more electric vehicles than before tesla would have sold less regulatory credits. That's proof that the whole festival around gm and ford and all this nonsense about evs is nothing but a smoke screen. That's just proof funny enough ironic enough, but it is what it is and one last thing before we go through these actual bombshells and their analysis. You have to understand how good the financial management of this company is, so this company reduced its cash flow by two billion dollars.

Now they have 17 billion in cash and one would say well tom: they just lost two billion dollars in cash. That's not a good thing right well check this out: they reduced their cash by 2 billion, while purchasing 1.2 billion of bitcoin, while repaying a 1.2 billion loan and while building two massive factories with the capex that that involves, and now let's talk about the actual three Bombshells inland drop in this conference call and they were definitely hidden. Those were hidden james, but if you stay with us through the live stream, you heard them, but don't worry. I got you in this video, so the first thing i want to talk about is the model y comment, which is literally earth shattering.

He said that the model y will be the best-selling vehicle in the entire world by the end of next year, which is 2022. Now, just to put this in perspective, currently that title is being held by none other than the toyota corolla. Now toyota corollas are great cars, no issues with corollas, but they're selling 1.5 million vehicles annually. That means that elon is thinking or elon is betting.

I don't know in this case, which is which, but i tend to believe what this man says. I wouldn't bet against him. He just put two people in the space taxi come on so he's betting, that, by the end of 2022, tesla will produce at least 1.5 million just of the model y, not to mention the model 3, not to mention the model s not to mention the model X, not to mention the new 25 000 car they're working on, so we're, probably looking at 2.5 to 3 million cars in deliveries in 2022, which is going to be an insane growth. We're talking about a company that is growing as of today with startup level, growth numbers, but still you have to remember we're talking about it, one of the biggest companies in the world.
That's a 600 billion dollar company growing at startup levels. That is insane. I don't think elon is lying. I don't think he's exaggerating.

I think that man delivers on his promises - i'll bet not always on time, but i'm definitely not betting against him and if this thing pans out well, gg everyone, it's a game over for tesla. Now the second point that elon mentioned, which is a huge bombshell, just goes to show you how smart he is and how smart the team he's built and tesla is now. The second point has a lot of geek talk, but don't worry, i'm gon na decipher it for you so chillax check this out. Elon was talking about the chip shortage.

You know we are currently in the midst of one of the worst, if not the worst. Semiconductor shortage in the history of mankind and even was basically answering the question: well how how you managed to produce so many cars with this chip shortage and he basically gave a gig answer. I'm gon na read it to you and then i'm gon na decipher it to human, so check it out. He did it by pivoting extremely quickly to new microcontrollers, while simultaneously developing firmware for new chips made by new suppliers now meaning inhuman.

He basically said, while all the other were asleep at the wheel. I saw what's about to happen. I got new suppliers lined up and i bought up a ton of inventory before anybody else in the auto industry knew what's about to happen. Essentially, while all of these others buffoons from the legacy automakers are getting caught with their pants around their ankles asleep at the wheel, elon is having a mai tai on his porch laughing it out, while the entire auto industry will be literally fighting for scrap.

As far as semiconductors elon just told you guys, hey i've, secured inventory, i have new suppliers, i'm gucci now, that's just another testament of how great this company is, how forward thinking - and i can't wait to see what they got lined up next now. The third bombshell was massive, but very underwhelming in the way it was delivered. You literally needed to be awake just for two seconds to hear even say it, but when he said it, my alarm bells went berserk now here's the thing we heard that call and you can see it in the financials that the tesla energy business grew by a Hundred percent revenue in q1 - that's not a huge surprise, given the fact that they literally send this call they're chasing away clients. They can't meet demand.
Their capacity is not even there yet. The other thing he said here in geek talk and i'm going to translate in a second - is the important bombshell. So he said that he's aiming for homes with solar rooftops and batteries from tesla to function as a giant distributed utility that can help incumbent electrical utilities. To supply customers with all the electricity they need as demand and as extreme weather events increase hold up there.

What is he saying in human talk? Essentially him actually saying this is the announcement of step three well, we know that tesla can't do production. We know that they can't do storage, solar powerwall, we never saw elon actually go ahead and say hey. We can also redistribute this centralized energy. This is the first time that i actually heard them talk about it and say: hey we're already there we already can redistribute, but this is just phase one of course he's talking about extreme weather emergencies and whatnot.

But what he's saying here is massive because he's saying we have the capacity to go to phase three, not only to produce and store, we can actually redistribute our own decentralized energy. Do you realize how huge that is? I think that thing is bigger than freaking robo taxis. I think that that thing is gon na be mass, but again i'm not discounting robot taxis, i'm just not in the robo taxi camp, i'm definitely in the energy camp. I see this as a massive statement that you need to be aware of if you have any sort of vision about tesla in their future, as always a huge shout out for our channel members, our patrons, let me know below what you guys think good or bad I'll see you guys in the next video.

What a load of shite, like they will be selling more cars than Toyota in a years time.

"While all of these other buffoons from the legacy automakers are getting caught with their pants around their ankles, alseep at the wheel, Elon is having a mai tai…"

Wait, what? Why are they driving with their pants around their ankles?? πŸ˜‚

They always say to buy the very best stock in a certain sector..Tesla is by far the best stock in the EV revolution.

Yeah, telling people NOT to SMASH or click the Like button is way more powerful than β€œasking” them to do it. I HAMMERED the Like button, of course. Nice recap of Elon’s earnings call by the way.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Asad Ullah says:

I don't want tesla to fail, i just want other companies to catch up because its better for future

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars solarGOAT says:

Just stumbled across your channel, as a humble solar panel installer and energy nerd I appreciate the content. That last announcement is absolutely mind blowing. As a single customer with solar panels you are at the mercy of a less then fare net metering agreement from the power company. If there was some way ban together and export massive amounts of stored power during on peak periods replicating a peaker plant you would immediately turn the table.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Miyuden says:

I always said, don't sleep on the energy business.
It is one of the most important businesses in the future

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Terry Ward says:

Tom I think I would be fun to investigate the current state of the American electrical grid and ponder how much the Tesla micro grids could affect the profits of the energy suppliers.

PLTR TO 500$ TESLA TO 5000$ looool funny channel not a single profitable recommendation so far ! Good luck

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TheSolarFuture Enthusiast says:

V unlikely Model Y will be best selling vehicle next year. Pretty sure Elon was under the impression that the Toyota sold less than it does.
Maybe it will be though πŸ™‚ but I wouldn't put a big bet on it.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eric Liebenauer says:

    Great video!!

Someone help me understand exactly how Tesla will make money from a distributed grid. So, the customer owns the solar panels and powerwall, and, as of now, sells excess energy back to the grid. Only the customer and utility involved. Where/how does Tesla get their cut?

Want to be excited about this idea, but don't see the mechanics of it yet…

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dan Courtney says:

It wasn't just that Tesla bought up chip supply, it's that they developed firmware which allowed them to use new suppliers. This requires the kind of agility and technical competence that the legacy auto makers simply don't have. I think it was Elon that once said, "It's not the big that eat the small, it's the fast that eat the slow."

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michal Gregor says:

then why the f… Tesla share price dropped below $700 after the earnings announcement???

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Unknown Spirit says:

On that note I would make more on btc. Eth is way better than this ask elon himself.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MusicIan423 says:

I'm confused about the last part. It sounds like he is saying people can sell their unused energy back to the grid to supply others in the case if a storm or whatnot. How is this different than what home solar setups do already?

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Roger Van Brunt says:

So the only thing Tesla needs to due is to continue to improve its production of EVs That is all that is required because EV's will grow 32x in the next 9 years. I am not selling for a very very long time. I love your thoughts on Tesla !!!

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars AConner says:

You do realise its easy for tesla to have enough semi conductors where as ford doesn't when they make far far far less cars then the legacy automakers lol elon keeps changing the goal post this earnings wasn't massive hiding your failures by expanding and blaming w.e. you can for the still no semis dont hear much about that roadster cars that are all the same but just different sizes and poor craftsmanship not willing to put lidar on the car to be right even though the cars continue to crash and then he blames the driver everyone thinks with that happening tesla will have this fsd feaxhwr which it doesn't which people continue to pay extra for where is the new batteries wheres the semi the roadster I really would love to know a trillion dollar value for a company that needs to sell btc and credits to stimulate its bottom line those days are coming to an end here go look up buying a tesla with btc and how that works tom why don't u pump doge u love elon so much hes no different then any other lying ceo tells u lies more and more delays he does not deliver and when he does ur roof Flys off ur doors have random gaps and its just not a lot for the money u pay at all

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anas G says:

They still need to work their asses off to justify the current hyped market cap ! Stop pumping your stocks

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Micael Pedrosa says:

While other automakers are catched sleeping at the wheel, Tesla drives itself.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pat miwaka says:

toyota corolla is a $20-$25 car and the Model Y is $50-$60K car . With all that is going on and may happen economically , I think that may be a tough order for tesla to accomplish . Corrollas sell so many because they are cheap. Model Y is in a different class altogether .

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pat miwaka says:

I believe the north american grid is one of the best in the world .Its cheap and reliable . Payback time is too long and upfront fees too high for solar and batteries

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars david robinson says:

I'm not really in the Robot axis corner either. Solar capture, storage & distribution. That's everybody, not just those who drive.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Ruben says:

Tom, when you started yt and i started following you, there was always this voice in my head wondering if you we're legit or nah. I gotta admit, you grew on me and i fkin love your work my dude. thank you πŸ˜‹ i believe your loyalty to the audience is whats gonna propel you. never change bro
