While many police officers don't know it yet, Tesla's vehicles are perfect for patrolling. In this video, I discuss why I believe Tesla's current cars and future cars are ideal for police departments.

The issue is cost, but the model x would be ideal because of the rear seating

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars C C says:

I wonder what would produce more emissions? BAU or the transition to so called renewables? Like do all these cars and battery's end up in a landfill one day?

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars C C says:

Why do you need a fleet of cars when you can just shut the guy down from a computer?

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ronny B says:

emission reduction is only as good as the way the energy is created,if you charge your battery with electricity generated by coal and/or gas plants, then a lot of those reductions are lost

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ramon Benito says:

With EV, government agencies cannot sip out fuel for their own personal use which is happening all over the world. Another plus for EV cars.

Love your channel I'm seeing if you can go ahead and do us all a favor and study a new market and its Ripple the company xrp the currency and if you could do an evaluation on that I believe that if you did a valuation on that you would have millions and millions of views on there

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 77magicbus says:

Great idea. Faster than anything else on the road and costs less to maintain. Smart for municipalities to go electric.

I'll purposely get pulled over by the o.p.p. just to see one of those things

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Zeyo says:

Isn't Elon a libertarian? Doesn't seem like a very libertarian thing to support one of the most authoritarian institutions in the country. Then again, he also used to call himself an anarcho-syndicalist, despite being a capitalist and a union buster.

The perfect Police Vehicle for any Police Department worldwide is the Cybertruck !
    The Cybertruck offers :
    – a lot of space for police equipment and weapons
    – fast acceleration ( like a Porsche 911 ) and high top speed make this car ideal for pursuit or very fast travel from the police department to the crime scene / accident location.
    – long range battery which offers the ability to power the police radio and police lights during a regular 8 – 10 hours shift without getting in any energy struggle
    – air suspension with changeable ground clearance which additionaly allows driving on difficult terrain like dirt roads / mountain roads
    – large cabin inside which offers comfort for the police officers and also enough space on the backseat to transport up to 3 arrested criminals, victims, witnesses, etc.
    – 9 mm bulletproof doors / frame ( i am sure the police version will also have bulletproof windows, at least in the USA )
    – heavy vehicle mass ( 2500 kg and more ) offer a good protection for the passengers in case of an accident or a pursuit where the cops have to hit the escape-car to force it to stop
    – almost same price in comparison to other high-class police cars
    – the robust Cybertruck will be able to reduce normal car service / repair costs and will stay in duty much longer than any other police vehicle
    – charging the Cybertruck from Tesla-Powerwalls which get their enegy from solar roofs on top of the police departments will reduce the driving costs as gasoline in comparison is much more expensive than electricity. ( The electricity produced by solar roofs is even cost free after 2 – 3 years ! ! ! The costs for the solar roof will be completely payed after 2 – 3 years of electricity production )
But there is one very BIG negative aspect :
The Cybertruck needs to be recharged at the police department at the end of a regular 8 – 10 hours shift and during that charging time the vehicle is not useable for the next shift of police officers ( the charging will take at least 8 hours on a regular powerwall charger to get that battery to 80 – 90 % )
So the Department will have to buy more Cybertrucks in comparison to other combustion engine vehicles ( which can be refueled at any gas station within 5 minutes).
More Cybertrucks = more money which the police department has to invest to offer a sufficient fleet of police cars for 24 hours / 7 days duty.
    Did i miss something ?

Model 3 & Y has a big potential for world police & other departments. Tesla should has a department for police cars like BMW has.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars traumajock says:

I predict the Big Three will merge and pool resources to meet the existential threat posed by Tesla. They will then offer Elon a huge amount of money to walk away (enough to build several Starship yards) , or offer it up for sale TO Elon. Picture a 'North American Motor Company'

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike's Road Trip says:

I hadn't heard about this market segment before, it sounds very plausible. The sky is the limit for Tesla!

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Aidan Keys says:

The O.P.P. cybertruck design looks incredible, the two tone paint design works well with the hard geometry.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Allan Timko says:

Can't wait to see a cop Cyber truck pit maneuver a perp in a car chase.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Allan Timko says:

Better offer one as a "community service" vehicle due to supposed less funding for the popo

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andrew Cummins says:

Oh yeah, and the cybertruck skin is bulletproof. (Well bullet resistant anyway)

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gui Srtr says:

Everyone in the world talking about demilitarizing police and you guys up to this?
Cybertruck is supposed to be a PERSONAL armored carrier.
Police shouldn't be allowed to be any more heavily equipped. They do too much bad shit with what they have already.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bunny Girl says:

Not only police. Cybertruck is multipurpose Vehicle. Just like a custom built PC.

Thanks so much for uploading. I had the opporunity to witness a rocket launch in 2018. Memorable experience. I posted a pretty awesome clip of the experience to my channel.

Finally hiding behind doors during a shooting will actually make sense

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Zishan says:

Elon musk Charged $100 for a pre order of the Tesla Cybertruck, within a few weeks it got over 250,000 Pre orders. So that’s $25,000,000 Elon made before a single car is even sold in only a few weeks

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Samuel Thomas says:

How is it the most ideal vehicle when it's approximately double the price? It needs more work to be economical.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Minju Lee says:

Electric car doesn't mean more sustainable, currently creating and disposing those batteries cause more harm than gas vehicles

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TMT83 says:

EVs makes financial sense for businesses looking to save transportation costs and maximize profits especially in police, delivery and ride share. The resale value of ICE cars are plummeting. With Semi trucking industry being disrupted next, there’s really no reason to buy an ICE vehicle anymore.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Adam hippiebeard29 says:

Yeah but time is money cops are not going to waste time and stainless steel is softer then carbon steal and the fame flexes constantly.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jimmy Edward says:

Imagine if Tesla made a special program for the police. Police can turn off Tesla cars only through their vehicles or limit speed for those who violate traffic rules
