Great advice yet again 👌🏻 I aim to save 50% a month that’s after mortgage bills etc just don’t live beyond your means 🙂
This is such good advice!!! I’m going to implement all of this x
I think the most difficult thing to do is to find the balance between spending your money, and saving it. Life is short so you have to enjoy your time, go on holiday, buy that car, buy those shoes. However if you do this TOO much, then you won’t have anything for the future, so its really difficult!
I haven't been out with the lads since 2008
Great video. I have implemented these tips around 8 months ago and have a decent savings pot and stock portfolio already. It's amazing how it all compounds when you create and stick to healthy habits. Rich dad poor dad is a great book, which ive listened to twice now. Thanks for the suggestions in the description, I'll be giving those a read!
Great advice Thomas, people who want to get on would be well advised to follow these tips, especially the first one. You don't spend your way to wealth. I would advise people to invest some of that monthly spare cash in global index tracker funds to take advantage of cost averaging, but only once you have a buffer of three to six months salary.
My favourite tip is to start measuring your wealth regularly. As the saying goes, "what gets measured, gets improved". Around the 15th of each month, I add a new row to my spreadsheet which has columns for each bank account, investment account, asset and debt that I own. I simply log into my bank account to get that number. If it's an asset, I'll depreciate my car's value or adjust my house value/mortgage accordingly (Nationwide have a house price value calculator for this).
In a way, this gamifies my net worth and really makes me consider everything I spend money. It's also nice to graph everything and look back on previous years and see that things are making good progress, which in turn motivates me to push harder.
By having it in a spreadsheet, you can do all sorts of fancy things, such as estimate the future value of certain investments at retirement and calculate the net present value of these.
Great suggestions! This is such an important topic to be discussing. I really enjoyed the video!
Hello
Hello
Amazing videos !
Great video mate! Will take a look at some of those top books to read
Great video, since the start of the year I’ve totally changed my outlook to spending. Dnt waste money on stuff I Dnt “need” and save every penny I Dnt need to spend, built up enough to sell my home and buy one twice the price! Wish I had done it years ago
10/10, helpful content you're putting out there it'll help the most of people who actually put what you say into action
Hello. Great advice!
