Poor people don't have the luxury of time and money and thus want to get rich quick and thus their failure rate is almost 100%.

I am a 35 year old mailman. I went to school for business management right after high school only to drop out 4 years later (dumb I know ). I've always had a passion for finance, the stock market, etc. I love going to sites like fidelity to see how various funds and stocks are performing and just reading and learning about the stock market in general. I am considering day trading part time. Thank you for the informative videos you've provided, I'll be sure to watch as many as I can.

That's why you guys need to start learning at an early age like me. I'm 13 and I'm learning e-commerce and I'm gonna start my store in like 3-4 months…

I have pressure. My dad is unemployed, my mother works a little at home, and I have to pay for the bills and for the house and support my family, that's why I have to work.
But I will be patient. I will learn and I will succeed, because I'm driven by a desire to be able to provide for my family and for myself, without having to sacrifice all my time to make money for a living!
I thank you Ricky from the bottom of my heart for providing us with so much valuable information!

Almost every point Ricky makes about "trading" can be applied to any commission sales position. How may car salespeople fail? Go to the car lot, and see the sales staff — go back in 3 months and see how few are still there. And, with car sales, there are "usually" a few mentors to help along the way… and they still fail at a very high rate. At least here, Rick and people like Ricky, are the mentors to help. Its a matter if you find the right mentor that fits your learning style, and YOUR ability to stick to a plan that works. Good luck to ALL!!!!

Ricky, just wanted you to know you've made a big impact on my beginning trading path!!! I really wanted to participate in you 100/1000 competition an I really think I would of made a great candidate. However like you explain, time is the biggest factor in successfully trading/investing. I've hit more then 70% of my goals and plan to keep learning until I've reached my level of success.

So, what is a solution to helping the economically disadvantaged to overcome those barriers?

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars King Kong says:

POOR people are just desperate for another option. Charging them money to watch you trade and brag and show off about your Millions everyday will not help their cause but make them ever poorer.

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter is an outstanding read on this exact subject. Highly recommend it to anyone who has not read it yet.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Calvin Raab says:

Many people with little money go way to risky trying to make a lot of money and become rich quickly but often times it ends up burying them. Do your research and building wealth can take some time!

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars We The People says:

The main reason Poor people fail and don't want to achieve wealth (based on my childhood experience) is the lack of Financial Education. Schools do not teach financial literacy or how to acquire wealth but learning the skills to get a job. If you were to walk the streets of LA or NY and conduct an interview asking this simple question – "Do you know how to read or create a personal financial statement and balance sheet?" Most of them will be clueless which is 80-90% of the US population. They have no knowledge of how to invest, Roth IRA, stocks, real estate, business, financial statement, balance sheets, taxes, leverage, etc. Schools should consider financial literacy as a primary subject that applies to life.

This aspect applies at home and our surroundings as well. The subject of money is a sensitive topic. We hear it from our parents and friends all the time – "Money don't grow on trees"…"Don't talk about money"…"Get a job and work hard"…"Find an Asian or White girl to marry" or "The more money you have the more problems occur". I grew up on these words thinking it was the only option for being poor. The wealthy class does the opposite. They know money is everything. Think about it – Rent, electric, phone, internet, clothing, car, gas, food, insurance, water, donation, taxes, and so-called free universal healthcare. All involve money. Rich people will talk money all day even on the dinner table while poor people are financially frustrated and avoid the subject.

Education is key and money is everything. I've been woke 12-years ago when I met a rich man delivering (job) an ottoman to his house. The first thing I notice, he wasn't white but lived in this luxury neighborhood. Long story short, he recommended a book called "Rich Dad Poor Dad". Blew my mind after reading the entire book in a day and that was the second book I read in my entire life at that time. It changed my whole perspective on how money works and the lack of education in financial studies that schools should consider. I was a hateful person towards the rich and relied heavily on government programs (Welfare and Medicaid) but NOT anymore. Knowledge is power. Where you get the knowledge is – education.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars vinivv says:

I've known quite a few very poor guys who have tried to trade and have lost and given up because they have so little money and time, because they all worked or went to school or both, the time needed to sit and do research or trade day end day out wasn't an option. So they made a lot of mistakes and lost all they had to spend. What i saw were trades that were to big I would tell them make $10 trades win 100 of those then go with $15 trades, don't lose all your money learning on a few trades. This is what paper tradings for too. Luckily i own my own business and especially in the winter my work is slow so i have been trading 2 years, I'm poor even if I do own a business its not that big of a business so I don't make a lot of money. I saved enough and can afford to lose some money, i dont spend what i cant afford to live with out. Time is a huge factor im also lucky i live alone πŸ™‚ no children or wife needing my time, my girlfriend doesnt like being around me all the time so yeah lifes great πŸ™‚
