Dom discovered the world of trading toward the end of 2016. But he didn’t actually start until January 2017, near the end of his college career. His major was business finance, but Dom had no actual plan to pursue anything with that degree.
He also knew he wasn’t cut out for a 9–5 job and that something had to change.
Dom knew he’d be successful, he just hadn’t found his calling yet. What he had working for him: a solid work ethic. He started working when he was 15 and worked through college. That’s when he realized this wasn’t how he wanted to spend his life … locked into a job, getting paid by the hour.
When you don’t love what you’re doing, you start to question: “Why am I here?”
Well, one day while making up work for one of his college courses, he stumbled upon Tim Sykes on the internet. Dom saw it as an opportunity — his way out. He joined Sykes’ challenge and started his trading journey.
Then, Dom had some health issues that kept him out of school. And while it was a horrible time, he made the most of it. He had endless hours to study and trade. Sun up to sundown.
At first, he thought he could just follow some of Sykes alerts to make some money while learning. But he quickly realized — as smart traders do — that’s not how this works. Trading takes time, education, and dedication.
It took him 10 months to be profitable ... and that’s while he was putting in 15–17 hours a day. Dom struggled in that time, but he didn’t give up. Instead, he put in more and more time. Finally, things started to turn around when he narrowed his focus and discovered his niche.
If you think trading will be easy, learn from Dom. He tried everything before he found what works for him in the market. And that’s a necessary part of the learning process. You gotta work to find your focus. And when you find it, you gotta stick with it. That’s where you can find consistency.
Is it boring to be so disciplined? It definitely can be. But honestly, that’s exactly what good trading is.

Anyone who specifically scalps the open only? This is what I'm trying to get consistent at.
Great inspiration! Great insight into the learning experience and the getting thru the learning curve.
Very stog team of video makes don't know about how much they make out off videos. But they make more then trading. Just compare by looking from far away, if day in market is crap they would post more because it just what they are. And if you want you can join but be ready to suffer.
I live on the Illinois Wisconsin border is there any one near me trading that I can come meet in person and learn from
Come on, Tim! The last name is not so hard to pronnounce! Great video, as usual.
Cool interview, thank you
Very helpful video. Can you tell how you cut your losses on shorting. Is it through limit sell to protect your asset or market order when stock against you spike up.
Congratulations on your success, time to "Suit up!
How often do you find that penny stocks drop to zero versus stocks that halt and we loose all our shares? I ask because I see stocks at .05 cents move after awhile, and some I enter expecting over time for it to rise. In your past years experience what percentage of companies fade away versus actually bouncing back. I have a friend that claims aaple did once drop to 2$ and now it's hundreds… Lastly, what percentage of your peers and colleagues have made huge money holding longshots come through bug breakouts and supernovas?? Did many simply get lucky with hot runs or good companies that just grew to beasts?
♥️
