Sh!t was all good just a week ago.
I repositioned some of my dividend stocks using a broker Anmol Singh. now I'm buying fractional shares of TSLA, NIO, NVR, AMZN again. previously I was after dividends for passive income but it's slow growth. Now I'll take my chances on growth stocks like,. SHLL WKHS, PLNHF13. I've gotten a 120% increase this year but hopefully I'll reach a million sooner.

OK for those who don't understand what is a convertible note. The 200M cash into the company is not a normal personal loan that you will borrow from a bank. It can be converted into shares if the company CANNOT return money to the loaner on time. If Workhorse is going to be insolvent in the near future, which stupid institution will loan money to it? Even if you converted the loan into shares, the shares worth nothing if the company goes bankrupt. 200M is not a small amount and if the institution is not very confident that this company is going to survive, it will not loan to Workhorse.
What about a long straddle play? You'll win whether the stock pops or tanks, which it sounds like it's definitely a binary event.

Wait. So you’re telling me they have cash on hand for an entire year… with zero income… well dang. I don’t know too many companies that can last a year with no income. They haven’t had income for 10 years!!!!!!! This is the year they say they will be profitable.

In addition to the arguments presented in the video, I see many people being blindly confident in Workhorse and repeatedly saying 'Ark invests in Workhorse' and thinks nothing will go wrong in the long run. If one day Ark suddenly decides to liquidate their position, consider the domino effect that would result. There is just too much downside risks associated with WKHS.
(I'm not short WKHS but I was long on WKHS for about 4 months and recently sold at $26)
But the 70 million dollar convertible notes mature in july 1, 2023. So wouldn't this mean that WKHS has invested interest to keep the share price high in the medium term? Also, the warrants consisting of 409356 shares at 20.90 are valued at +- 8 million. This not a very large portion of the 70 million to be at risk in the short term.
Also, if the shareprice were to be under the 20.90 at the maturity date, it also wouldn't make any sense for the lender to enforce the loan back, as this might mean bankrupcy for workhorse, which is not in the best interest for the lender at all.
Prior to watching this I was laughing at how anyone could be holding Nikola stock and feeling pretty good about having workhorse shares coming upto the USPS announcement, but now I'm feeling a little more unsettled. Lesson learnt not many companies (or any in fact) can be Tesla. If they get a portion of the contract (fingers crossed) I might count my good graces as I ride the upswing, sell my position in Workhorse and put it all into Tesla which is already by far and away my largest position.
